The raw/organic thing is a topic unto its self, but any time you are consuming large amounts of processed foods, that contain any number of additives, preservatives stabilizers and just generally highly modified ingredients, your system is going to have to cope with dealing with completely unnatural ingredients as well as natural products that have been modified down to the shape of the salt crystal to illicit a specific response by our brains. So the people that are eating , food that is closer to its natural state or is in fact natural and un fidgeted with, their systems seem to find a balance faster. What you eat plays a big role in how you function, hormones are another key player, especially when you are talking modified foods , specifically when you are dealing with meats and dairy products, as RBGH, as well as Trenbolone and other Anabolic hormones and peptides have been shown to pass through into the final product. Yeah are you going to be more satiated by a more filling food? Yeah; is it all the fiber, no thats just part of the equation. Really its another topic...
I don't like to beat the raw/ organic drum as a cure all because it sure as hell is not, but it is a great place to start. But local, organic ( if and when possible) along with seasonal, and sustainable farming and hunting/harvesting will get you a higher quality, that has by far a better nutritional profile then mass raised, sweatshop agriculture that is the current model. I work a a chef, and I can honestly say animals that were treated better less stress ect ect are have a much better taste, as does produce. Just changing over to more organic, fruit sand produce you will see a change the infusion of much needed vitamins and minerals as well as fiber, will help. Taking tablets to supplement if fine if you cant get it in you diet naturally we are designed to get these necessary items from our environment and diet. So yeah sorry to hijack this .
