Mephedrone Visuals?

Thank you. I don't know why it's so hard for people to understand that just because it isn't a psychedelic doesn't mean it doesn't have some minor visuals.

Exactly. Thank you BD - as ive stated before, they arent INTENSE visuals, just some minor distortions, they happen with the first couple bumps at the beginning of the experience, and then fade away gradually. I, like Laika, always get a full nights rest after/before using, and dont use insane amounts - last night was actually the first time ive gone over 500mg in the times ive done it, I usually stop around 300, sometimes 400mg. It had also been close to a month after my last dose, and there are no other symptoms of psychosis. So im ruling that one out - although I do value your insight and trying to share a possible danger with me.

gets me high lol - nah seriously tho, I have had some pretty intense times of getting way too high where I would see some distortions, not quite like these, but it has happened. It usually only happens with weed if im in the middle of having a panic attack/severe anxiety though.
 
stumbled on this over at another forum, figured I'd post it and see if anybody has any opinions.

"I don't think it'd be a massive surprise if mephedrone has slight psychedelic qualities to it. In fact I'm a little surprised that a majority of users have reported it to be so vacuous in this respect. The para-methyl group is likely to mediate some serotonergic activity, much like the similar non-β-keto chemical 4-methylamphetamine is known to. At higher doses the shifts in serotonergic activity could definitely cause some perceptual distortion, and this fits well with SWIY's description of moving shadows, fascination with water/mirrors, facial distortion etc."

this is almost exactly what ive experienced, not strong "visuals", but perceptual distortions (as I said, things warping and moving, things looking like they're zooming out/in or moving back and forth, etc.)
