Mephedrone Megathread VIII: Hnnnng!

i ordered 2.5 grams so id have some for after ban it only lasted 24hours

Although i've said that before. This time though- thank God for the impending ban.

Had a decent enough time on Friday, but nowhere near how it used to be. My nose is terrible. Red, painful, constantly runny and now a bit dry. It's taken over my social circle and I think everyone has abused it far too much and too often.

We all need to take a break and recover.

Fingers crossed it actually happens this time.
 
Mine is all gone and I have no desire to buy any more.

Looking back on it, it wasn't really that good after about the first five times I took it.


First few times were bloody excellent though.

I've seen it happen to a couple of friends, particularly some old mates I used to go to secondary school with, it appears as if there whole act of socialising revolves around doing mephedrone together, I haven't seen one of my best friends sober and not speaking m-shat for a good six months now.

I'm with you when you say thank God for the impending ban, it's a shame that it's the only way to get people to take it seriously.
 
this whole legal thing happend with amyl nitrate that was band and replaced with less good butyl nitrate

Don't be daft Romans. Thank God that PC Cuntwitt can ruin endless peoples lives for taking mephedrone? Get a grip. The ban is disgrace and an absolute fucking tragedy.

Even watching football on a weekday- Meph was more often than not involved. It's taken over every social event possible.

I can't remember the last time we went out on a Friday or Saturday night and hit the pubs without it being involved. And even when it has been present, it was months ago. Going out to town has been replaced by house parties. It's not even a cheaper alternative as the ability to drink goes through the roof and everyone is also fiending for it and you can never just stick with buying the one.

With regards to the ban, that was an incredibly selfish comment. I meant from my point of view. If it's expensive and heavily cut, i'm much more likely to be able to leave it alone ;)

There'll certainly be replacements for Meph, but I assume in the case you're referring to, it wasn't an analogue law?
I'd imagine trying to replicate Mephedrone without the cathinone aspect would be a difficult task.

I know, there's two sides to it, and of course I'm more leaning to regulation and education, but c'mon? I know fifteen year old kids fiending this shit at gigs - it either needs to be regulated as soon as or banned.

And considering any talk of sensible drug debate in this country leads to Daily Mail ediotorial about Broken Britain then fuck, I'd rather have a ban to calm things down a bit then wait on something that won't happen for another year or two.

I reckon I'll change my mind in ten minutes though.

Ditto. Or when we go to clubs now its all about buying a g, sulking off to do it every forty minutes or finding a dealer at the club. No one seems to enjoy themselves unless their high, its only me and a couple of other mates who really see what is happening (surprisingly the three of us have dabbled in drugs before, the others haven't).

It sounds like the mates you refer to are just going to find another drug the moment Mephedrone is illegal, or continue with it, just with heavily cut stuff.

That's the problem with making drugs illegal, people who're already fans of them won't stop doing them, the only difference is now they'll be breaking the law and having no idea what's in the stuff they're taking.

Things are only going to get worse with the ban.

And to people who are thankful for the legislation because it'll help you stop using it - Meph will no doubt be floating around in clubs for many more months, are you really going to turn it down just because it's illegal?
In my opinion, a lot of Meph users are just going to end up paying £30/g for cut Meph.
 
The ONLY reason I am not opposed to the ban of Mephedrone is the amount of people I come across who cannot take this drug responsibly, and it's ease of availability. Some of the people i've spoken to are of the attitude that just because it is legal, no harm can come of it! I bet if you asked them if they'd ever take a pill of a line of coke they would screw their face up like you'd just asked them if they'd shag Maggy Thatcher.

I know there are many of us out there who can use it to sensible levels, and are aware of the risks, myself and my friends were some of them on the odd occasion. I don't make it a regular thing, but it was good for the couple of occasions I did. However, that is mostly down to Bluelight, which is carrying out it's harm reduction role perfectly.

I don't really see how the banning of it will ruin countless people's lives. Mephedrone is not that fantastic.

I'm do not think Mephedrone will vanish as soon as the ban happens, quite the contrary, but why would you pay 30 quid a g for something that you'd been getting for a tenner?

Not when there are plenty of other illegal and legal drugs out there that are less harmful, and more fun :)

Decided to feed the plants for the first and last time last night just to see what all the fuss was about.

It was decent, it got me mashed but it was hardly all that. I'd expected much more after all the hype on here and elsewhere. Won't bother with it again.
 
Spade, if it was "decent and got you mashed", why would you not take it again? How much did you do? Snorting?
 
I don't really bother with drugs anymore, I'd like it to stay that way. Also the idea of putting something like mephedrone, which is probably a bit dodgy, down my neck on any sort of regular basis is not a pleasent one.

Kid it was OK, I was mashed but there's was no real head to toe euphoria, rushes or tingles it was just a mashed feeling, Nice enough but nothing special like. Made me talk too much as well, must have been doing everybodys head in.

I snorted a line to begin with and it was horrible. Either I've turned into a pussy these days or meph is the worst drug to snort. Used to snort cruched pills, mdma crystals, 2CB etc and it was never painful or a problem, this was burning like fuck and rank. Bombs after that but no idea on the dosage, my mate was just making them up and handing them to me. We had 2 grams to begin with between 4 then when they ran out around 8am this morning my mate went away running around Edinburgh to get another. I didn't do much of the third G, was fine with what I had, one mate actually did most of it, he canna get enough of it.

Didn't find it that moreish myself, actually gave a couple bombs away because I was fine with what I had and it seemed to stop working anyway after a few.
 
Aye, defo the worst thing I've ever snorted! But I always found bombs a bit of a waste of time.

I can't see myself doing too much more of Meph in the future. Defo too dodge on the body (although purple knuckles have now gone) and I agree that the high aint all that after a few sessions. Still, fucking daft for it to be banned just cuz of some stupid pricks.

But if you're legislating for the most stupid in society - where do you stop? At some point we have to accept people have some responsibility for themselves.
