Mephedrone Megathread VI: Anyone Seen My Heartvalves?

I admit from a high/buzz point of view MDMA pisses over everything, put I cant eat on it, sleep on it, sex can sometimes be an issue, I've suffered night terrors, sleep paralysis, chewed my face to pieces, and it's illegal.
I've read a few other posts about peoples experience on meph, ok not everyone of them great, but from my standpoint, I cant fault it....
Every drug effects every person in a different way, my personal motto, and reading what I wrote, I've gone against my own views lol. However in the numerous drugs I've taken over the years this by far outweighs the bad points with the good... ;)

Not only do I find it highly unlikely that you could find any legal basis to do so, it would be extra hard to do with servers domiciled in a non-English speaking country.

If it involves the United States and the shipping of drugs there that fall under the realm of controlled substance analogues, the risk for some international action is probably high and pretty much no country is going to sit around and defend someone who is involved in facilitating the distribution of drugs.

I don't understand why that guy would come out & say there doesn't appear to be much bad about mephedrone when he should have said that about the numerous other drugs that are proven to be fairly safe. It seems like he's seen David Nutt's mug all over the telly recently & thought "I'll have some of that! what drug is getting talked about in the media?"

Not exactly like he's basing his opinion on research; because afaik there is very little of that.

EDIT: How safe is it to take GBL for a meph comedown?
 
Written to that guy n told him some of my personal experience and basically what a load of shit he's talking, if he's been accurately represented in that article.

Dangerous, unscientific and thoroughly irresponsible shit.

Taking G is fairly safe with most stims btw, just don't go too overboard, especially if you have been taking other downers or drinking. Should probably help a fair bit if you're coming down grottily, or just feel great, ha...

I cane a lot of gbl whilst on and commin down off meph. Gets me very wired before I crash out. Im still here :)
 
We definitely need to see a lot of research for this chemical. It should be prioritised by the government to do some research. Once mephedrone is banned, and goes underground, it will become a hell of a lot more dangerous, I think.

Any eductated guesses on how much mephedrone in one dose it would take to kill you? For oral and snorted?
 
I just dislike it purely for the insane fiendishness it provides, not with any other drug have I had such self control issues which is why I'm staying away from it permanently from now on.

As far as I can tell Mephedrone toxicity research is (correctly IMHO) not high on the priority list of anyone who has the resources to investigate it. It is simply not interesting or important enough and nobody, least of all the government, cares about mephedrone users' health. Why the hell should precious and limited resources be wasted investigating mephedrone?

Put yourself in the shoes of the researcher who is faced with the choice of studying mephedrone a dead end compound with no real value or something with potential therapeutic value then you can see why the decision is very easy.


if you want it investigating then it is really simple, find the money (circa 10k GBP) to pay for it and go talk to a CRO.
 
I took f&b's advice and stopped doing it. If he won't touch it, that's good enough for me. It sent my blood pressure rocketing, far more so than amphetamine.

I know someone who had a TIA (mini stroke) a few days after taking meph. It may not have been anything to do with it but in an otherwise fit and healthy person it seems a bit of a coincidence.

I'm not sure exactly how much but I'd say no more than a gram per session, on about 4 occasions in the previous few weeks. Definitely not a heavy user. It's just odd that someone who's fairly athletic, of normal weight, heart rate, blood pressure and cholesterol level should have a TIA, and it happened after a few meph sessions. They are in their 40s but there's no family history of stroke.

The hospital staff were quite baffled by the cause. They weren't told about the drug use.

I think events like that would be precipitated by any stim use, regardless of the specifics. Although not very nice, I have a friend who recently just recovered from one of them after spending the best part of 18 months with an eyepatch cuz of it, that came from a night of fairly moderate drinking and a couple lines of coke, nowhere near the volume or range of drugs the bloke in question can usually handle.

Anyhow, as for 'dangerous' dosages of meph....I'm not sure, I have a tolerance to a certain extent so I wouldnt offer this as dosage advice to anyone but I'd not like to bomb more than 1000mg in a single dose, I do 500mg bombs fairly often and 750mg ones have been done before, but yeah...anything over that is probably approaching flake territory, although I would imagine youd need like 2g+ to actually hurt yourself...

Nasal insufflation, I dunno....generally speaking I think it'd be more meph than you can bang up your hooter in one go.
