Personally, I really like the prefixes - seem to make OD much more organized. :)

I voted Yes-2, but I like beta1's idea for a bupe/'done prefix. Also, the prefix for combos would be nice, although I'm not sure how feasible it would be. <3
 
I voted yes(2) with one caveat. I'm used to looking for the little "New Posts Since You Last Read" simple to the left of thread titles to see what I need to read. With the prefix in bold black, it looks the same as that symbol, so even if I'm caught up on the thread my eye catches on the bold black and it looks like I need to read every post. I'm sure I could get used to it and that it may not be a big problem, but I don't see why the prefix can't be the same color as the thread name, or at least a different color than the little symbol.
 
Thread title colors are that color since they're links. Making the prefix that color, which isn't a link, would be inconsistent and somewhat confusing. As for different colors, the current one looks best, imo. If you have any other recommendations, I'm sure we'd consider them.

Just look for the triangle like symbol, instead of the color. :)
 
i voted no. i find it rather distracting, and there are a lot of other drugs that would be hard to categorize, such as lyrica and neurontin for example. that said, not a huge deal either way.
 
I do support the idea, but something has got to be changed i think it just doesn't seem right. Either it's too simple,or too complicated or something.... here we got opiates, heroin, bupe.... so does each drug get it's own category or does it all lump into one? I obviously see why this happens, you have the main/most important/talked about ones separate but it would be impossible to give everything it's own category but then I guess that's why I agree with what oxymorphone had suggested. AAnd sorry if i am merely reiterating what others have said, i didn't have the patience to read through past the 1st page
 
im not sure i understand what you mean by does each drug get its own category? heroin has its own prefix, as does bupe, (meth)amphetamines, benzos (all benzos fall under this), and what every drugs down fall under those prefixes is under the misc.

and im missing where oxymorphone posted? could you tell me what post? i dont know why i cant see it.

maybe you should read the first post, as well as the sticky explaining the use of them;):)

Sorry if the poll is misleading, but the prefixes aren't going away.

I think it should be a two level system with subgroups to make it simplest. Like for heroin it should be Opiates>Heroin and for Xanax it wold be Benzos>Xanax, or Benzos>Klonopin. The second sub group should be optional so you could still do a general tag like just Opiates or Benzos.

That way everything is orgranized and you have the main general groupr with the subgroup if needed being optional. If you just had a free for all with every drug tag the place would be a mess and you might as well not have tags at all.

I think this model makes the makes the most sense and I would like to hear what people think of that.

I couldn't really put it into words, I suck at gathering thoughts and putting them together in a way someone other than myself can understand. I think this makes sense^^^

What I was saying about categories is that heroin has it's separate category from opiates even though it is one, and other such examples. Not a bad system either way though, even if it doesn't change at all I don't really have any complaints.

What if I'm coming down from valium and I want to take some meth for the comedown? Is it still sorted under (amphetamines) because meth is a lot more powerful than valium? Or is it because it's the last drug you took? ;)
 
It would be sorted under benzos anyway.

I know you're just messing with him but figured I'd point that out anyway

i think im getting you now, prefix to a prefix. unfortunately we dont have that capability as i understand it, which is ultimately what would be ideal because we could then incorporate those kind of subgroups that you mentioned. this would help narrow down searching even more.
 
New Prefix Idea

I know everyone was wanting to find a better way to organize OD, but the way you guys have chosen to do it is more or less a clusterfuck..No offense, as I highly respect all the mods in this neck of the woods...but...

Its worse than before. Its very difficult to navigate now. If your going to change something, then just make seperate forums for everything.. The prefix thing did no good at all.

Just trying to help.
