The function is small isnt it? If its the same room Mistress Barbara played in at Slinky a few years back then fuck me I have a feeling the hardware room will be forced to get locked out and man is that going to suck! Even though I dont want to leave the room the whole night reguardless but just incase you want to check outside the room you could lose ur position and say byebye to a certain international.

Well I sure aint missing out on Renato Cohen who by far looks like to be the main act of the night with Mauro Picotto, fuck i cant wait!!! Why cant there be things like this more often ay!
 
I remember one year at TT, there was a line to get into the Slinky Room...

Regarding the meetup at 12, i think it's a good idea that onetwothreefour organises where to meet, because it will be interesting to see if he can get it right this time?? hehe ;)

Not that anyone is probably interested but this is what my night is looking like:

7.30-8.30pm 1200 Techniques LIVE
9-10pm Kasey Taylor
10-11pm Nu Breed LIVE
11-12pm Dean Millson vs. Sasha Petrovic (room to room for these 2!)
11-1am Hybrid (room to room for these 2!)
1-3am BT LIVE
3.00-5.00 Koma & Bones (from room to room for these 3)!!!
3-4.30am Christopher Lawrence (from room to room for these 3)!!!
3:30-4:15 Vitalic LIVE (from room to room for these 3)!!!
4:30-5:30 Boogs
5.30-7am Lucien Foorte
6:45-7:30 Richie Rich

Too much clashing for my liking! But will be fun none the less, a bit scared about the K & B, C. Lawrence & Vitalic clash!!!

Since 1234 sent me a nice birfday message I'll put some suggestions up and not leave all the onus on him. Poor boy.

  • Top of the stairs between Rod Laver and Cafe Arena (same as last year)
  • Ferris Wheel ticket box
  • Under footbridge
  • The 'D' shaped area just in front of Function centre (note Garden area will be closed after 10pm)
  • Cloakroom/Ravesafe (usually in the foyer of Rod Laver)
  • Top of the stairs as soon as you walk in (where they put the flyers for other events)

Just choose one... and no death threats this time (just get it right!). =D

Looking forward to it, one of my favorite days of the year. :)
 
Nice one Danni B, i was beginning to think I was the only BLer who knew how good Kasey Taylor is :)

As for meetup, am I right when I say 12am it is....? Good....now, venue to be decided....my vote is for somewhere mega easy to find like the RLA suggestions...

(thanks for those Hoptis).....Prolly Ravesafe or top of stairs between RLA + Cafe.....they are easily accessible, easy to find and can be seen from the main areas (out the front where you come in isn't really visable from inside the complex?)...

I think i have everything organised now.....travel, tickets, music on my way there, accomodation, timetable of dj's worked out, dress for the night, meetup (almost), extras to enhance the night ;), partners in dance.....yep i think that's everything :D

Yep, you're right Samm, only 5 days, 1 hour, 5 minutes to go.... :)
 
Yep RaveSafe will definately be there, although as yet we are unsure where we will be located.

Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new ones.
 
12am???

hmm...me thinks i wont be makin it. my plans are to do a little wander, then settle down in the hardware room before its too late and i wont be able to get in.
 
Here is a link also to the Function Centre Rooms page of the Melbourne Park website...http://www.mopt.com.au/pages/hospitality/ven-functioncentre.asp.....make what you will of it.....basically, according to this, the Hardware, Family, Futurebreaks and Nrg vs Rising Sons rooms are all going to be stuffed into this space which apparently hold about 3500....

Steam is fucking rising.....if this is the case I am fucking pissed......Future is too fucking cheap to rent out the indoor courts for Hardware.....therefore it is going to be hell around that area, and Hardware will prolly fit at the most 1000-1500 people at the most :( ....arggh GODAMN FUTURE SUCKS! :( :( :(
 
Hoptis, I could offer some suggestions for you, if ppl want to know where to meet you but.. well. I shall behave on here...

Rockin people! Hardware arena is going to be oozing quality tunes. Not only will Vitalic rip it up, but our very own talented locals will give him a serious run for his money.

Word to the banging and funking boys, the ladies (craig and matty) and the gorgeous PdS.

Top of the stairs last yr was fine
if we all find our way there, and then migrate elsewhere to clear up steps, it shall be good all the way

Either Future or ITM put together a very poxy map of Melbourne Park, looks like Mark James drew it on a napkin with giant crayons but regardless, at least it shows you which room is which.

Looks like there'll be enough room for everyone.

happy to see that theyve made a bit more space for the tech fans.
 
i think top of the stairs is good too...we had some problems with a meetup at ravesafe at godskitchen because they werent set up etc etc...i think top of the stairs where it was last year was fine....

If you cant agree on 12am then make it 11pm. Its prettymuch the only other time anyone will be close to organising themselves. Infact if you do it then.. everyone who wants to check out Hybrid can meetup then head on in together.

11pm is prettymuch your only other option.. after then theres too many things going on.
