melbourne - gods kitchen - 2nd october - melbourne park - REVIEWS START PAGE 9

meh.

i'm not liking the look of the line up this year. but my best buddy is coming up from tassie so i think we'll be going.
hmmm....see how our financial status will be later.

plus its an excuse to dress up.

^^ Certainly......i will be interested in Benny Benassi's set....knowing my luck it'll be on at same time as BK or Sander Kleinenberg, or both (damn my diverse musical taste)...but i think that he will play some nice electro trance, a genre i have been exploring recently....i'm not looking forward to his set to hear satisfaction, just what he has to offer the room (which no doubt will be packed)....altho i can't wait to hear one of his other tracks "Love is Gonna Save Us"....very very cool....

i'm already getting excited bout all the awesome dj's that are going to b playing at GK this year i wasn't impressed with GK last yr (first rave) so i hope this year makes up for it! Benny's set should b fantastic i'm go my way to download some tracks from the other dj's that are playing so i know who i want to see on the night.
P.

^^ good plan that :) I did that before two tribes this year and discovered some awesome music!!

Recommmended activity!! And for anyone who loves a bit of the harder styles, and who hasn't heard of BK....DOWNLOAD SOME STUFF NOW!! Recomendations are Zulu Nation, Accelerate, Bad Ass (!!!) and The Calm Before The Storm... :)

this is gonna b my 1 year anniversary to this scene - can't believe its been a whole year!! (was only s'posed to b experimental for the summer oops!:) )

Anyways Im so happy they've grabbed BK again i was ignorant to his music last GK but after hearing James Lawson on NYD i love the bouncy uk hard house. Agree with tnargus go download some of his stuff - especially Bad Ass (3am Convergence mix!!) pwwhhoarrr!!

who else.... Eddie Halliwell is s'posed to be fucking good with heaps of tricks and scratching on the decks. A-skillz will be lots of fun hoping no one clashes with them

And of course John '00' Fleming - but im not getting too excited over him yet cos i read on his site i think last month he didnt kno anything bout it and thought he was coming out and doing a club tour with M.I.K.E!!

^^ Interesting that re: 00 Fleming.....i wonder if Future are up to their old "we've got the best djs in the world, wait they cant make it, oh well heres a B-Grade sub-in" tricks :\

Could do better than Fleming anyhow....if we're talking GK djs, why not bring on Armin, Paul van Dyk, Sasha....any of those would fit and all are promoting new releases (well AvB and Sasha anyhow)....

Word is however that Armin will be rocking us on NYE this year ;)

hmm line up isnt striking me as fantastic, so i dont know about this one, might see a bit closer to the date, see if future put even suckier people in replacement of those already listed....

but avb fo nye *woo-hoo!!!!*

is this actually gonna be in rod laver arena or in the function rooms like last year?

GK better attract a better crowd this year. last year was nice, but there was potential to be much much better.

if the lineup is half decent i might join the crew and have a ball. if not then....

I thought Godskitchen announced 10 internationals, but so far only 9 have been confirmed. Does this mean the 10th will be some pathetic 'international' that no one would have heard of, or.....someone absolutely huge, like Ferry Corsten? =D

fairly average fucking lineup really...

i was hoping for a corsten or some other such...

Couldn't agree more... Infact it's probably the shittest lineup I've seen for awhile as far as these sort of events go. :\

i don't think i'll be attending these big parties anymore, smaller ones are better and i like local talent more, everytime i go to see these 'big' names ive allways ended up missing them

hey hey...well ill definately be there for this event caaaauuuusssseeeee October 3 is my birthday and i can not think of anything better than to enjoy the morning of my b'day rockin it with a funki assed crowd lookin to party hard!

as for the line-up...well...could be better! do u think if i ask future to give me PvD or ferry or Armin or sasha as a b'day present that they'll come thru? haha...=D would be gr8!

not usually a birthday person...this year i will be!!!!

Agreeance on local talent being brilliant....however, previously missing internationals @ events doesnt make the events shitty....perhaps come along and try and stick to some sort of timetable (if only a little ;))...

Ferry Corsten = my vote for addition to lineup too! :) He would be great...

u know wat ive done a couple of times...ive purchased my ticket for the event as soon as they're on sale for example....and when the day comes around...uve got urself a ticket and the $55 u spent 2 months prior to the event is forgotten and u feel like uve got a free ticket! tiz gr8!

yeah not really liking the line-up......anyone know if peewee ferris, john course or kid kenobi will be playing?

^^ doubt it for the melbourne one (as all are sydney djs, who will however prolly all play @ the Sydney event)....possibly PeeWee, he played for TT this year....would love to see Mark Dynamix again, and I hear John Course is tops too...

Hopefully, as far as local talent goes, the following shall make it:

Master Kaos
Nick Compound
Kelsta (Hard House Set)
Nu Breed
Kasey Taylor
Jewelz

I would say Hellraiser etc, but as there is no Pharmacy room anymore, it aint gonna happen :(

Some of the local line-up has been announced.. although they cant seem to make their minds up re the Pharmacy arena? First it was Pharmacy, then Bass Station.. now vs. Kandy?

^^ Hey some nice names in there but a big FUCK YOU to Future for putting BK in the main arena :( This means a whole heap of muzas when i'm tryin to enjoy the master :(

Fucking awesome about AD NAUSEUM!!!! But yeah, wtf about Bass Station, now Kandy v Pharmacy? Peter Poppa??? You got any more info? Also happy about Steve Stangis (was tops last yeasr GK), Luke Chable, John Course, Dee Dee and Ben Shepard + Keltec (!!!) Sweet :D

I heard of a rumoured Faithless tour in October (no i'm not implying they will be @ GK) so i am unsure if I will be able to make it to both.....if Faithless are coming, I am thinking I will have to see them as they are almost broken up and this will be our last chance Australia....
