The Korean BBQ place I was looking at is actually in Victoria Street but I don't know the exact name/address will try and find it.

at this rate our first event won't be till next year tee he he.
Since I have such little knowladge and experience of the fine dining Melbourne has to offer (guess the "I'm new to Melbourne" excuse is getting old....since I've bene here over 2 yrs....) I won't put in a bid for type of cuisine or destination.
You can haggle amongst yourselves who gets my vote and support.
Bring on the biff!!!
 
well can i say just a good restaurant that doesnt really have a "sort" of cusine, but is just a good place to eat?

airstream cafe in glen waverly or balsamic in eastland/ringwood.

Nepalese cuisine I've been to and loved is Gurkhas. There is about 6 of them around Melbourne but the best ones are:

*The* best steak house in Melbourne, hands down no arguements (they just serve steak, and maybe a chicken and vegetarian dish thats it heh):

well that steakhouse sounds good but if they dont take bookings over ten that sort of sucks?

gaylords is...teh bomb.

it is like eating IN a bollywood movie. i had one of the happiest meals of my life there. stoned, mango lassi, chicken buriyani, my best friend. love.

p.s. for steak Lazar's steakhouse on johnston st got voted best steakhouse in the age food guide.

plus it looks like it is in a swiss chalet.

and it smells like delicious meat!!!!! :)

They are both squires owned/franchised resteraunts, afaik. The first one is definatley a squires as it has the same address.
