Melbourne Food Society - Fri 31st Aug - Japanese!

^ I was thinking we could begin early-ish, say 5pm, so possibly we won't have a problem getting a table. Rooftop restaurant is open from 5.30pm. I say early dinner then get to the drinkin ;)

Alternatively we need to find somewhere we can book for a group.

Pretty handy to transport (only 50 mtres from Richmond station, trams going right by) and the rooftop does sound good (hopefully it won't rain ;) ). What's the food like?

The prince alfred holds no appeal for me.
at least half the rooftop at the corner is undercover.
anywhere in richmond is fairly close to transport. one i didnt mention, worth a go is the grand on burnley st

I'm just gonna call it, fuckit - I think it is my destiny or something to take the reigns with this Food Society business. I JUST CAN'T FIGHT IT ANYMORE!!! 8o

So the Corner it is. We'll get there early (or those of us who can, will) and grab a table soon after the restaurant opens. And the good thing about Pub Grub night is we don't really all have to order together, people can come and go and order when they please as long as we have some people at the table.

If the Corners' too crowded after dinner we've no shortage of other venues to crash in the area.

SLM: Nick may be there, but i definately wont be until at least 7.30-8pm, so probably wont make dinner :( BOO!
I dont finish work until then but ill def. come form drinks afterward...
 
^We'll get there early, get the eating over and done with and then spend the rest of the night havin fun.
 
If anyone would care to take over this puppy they are more than welcome. I don't have a freaking clue but it seems it's more likely Sydney will have 7 meetups in the time it takes us to organise one so.... if anyone would like to take the reigns, fucking welcome ;)

As an aside, you're right - Sydney have organised a June and July meet-up.
 
Pfffft to Sydney. You don't see QLDers travelling interstate to go to their ghey arse meet ups :D
