Is it possible to just rock up on the night?

I don't think there is any point going now that SLM is married, and i don't know if i wanna hang out with you trashbags... besides, what if a better offer came up?

We arent trashbags. We are fine upstanding pillers of society and people should pay for the privilege of us even looking in their direction and red carpet is rolled out for us wherever we go.
 
I'm very much looking forward to friends, food and booze. In that order.
I need some solid good times after the utter disaster that was my last weekend. :\

Whoohoo! 16 for dinner and 3 after... well whoever after wants to come after - rock along - we'll be finished eating by 9-ish I presume. Then it's out of the restaurant before we "Bluelight" their asses and I don't get my credit card refund ;) please be good while we're there... or at least inconspicuous :D

Anyone who knows of possible drinking-holes afterwards round the area, put your thinking caps on!

I'm really looking forward to seeing you all, now just gotta work out a) how to get there by train from Glen Waverley (is it Parliment station the closest?) and b) what to wear 8o
 
Don't forget my place [Glenferrie / Auburn station] should be en route for you and whoever is joining you, SLM. =D
I'm sure NickyJ and myself [and anyone else who happens to be present at the time] would be more than happy to be a temporary re-fuelling station for travellers. ;):)

I'm pretty sure by that time all trains will be running direct to Flinders St Station and then doing the loop from there but Melbourne CBD is tiny so it doesn't really matter. Little Bourke St is only a couple of blocks.

Hey, did you reserve the table in your name or is it under Bluelight???
 
Some Ideas for Places to Drink Afterwards -

Section 8 (Tattersalls Lane - crawling distance)
Loop (Meyers Place - staggering distance)
The Lounge (Swanston Street - close, but has stairs to negotiate)
Victoria Hotel (Little Collins Street- the downside is that it is the Victoria Hotel)
 
I would rather a plain old pub atmosphere than an uber-funky bar with dim lighting - and definitely not a nightclub!!! - but that's just me. ;) Somewhere that talking is possible, and somewhere not too expensive.

COTB: I'm not sure how we'll go for time, but drinks at yours does sound awesome. Gotta find out what's going on Sat. afternoon, I think Dale might have plans... :\

Not too familiar with the pubs around the cbd but technically we should go to the lounge- not that any of you guys are lounge whores really. :\
