[MELB] INFECTED MUSHROOM - April 6 - Metro - REVIEWS!

I saw them at EC in the Park and whilst being an old fan I still had fun and was jumping around with the best of them...there were parts of their set that had me going "what the hell?!". Dudev's vocals are tolerable at best on I'm The Supervisa when mastered...his live yelling was just grating and totally unpsychedelic. Yet I guess this was before I realised how commercial and very not psytrance they have become. I'm not an elitist, I like a variety of commercial cheese myself, yet when it is produced by people who I and many others consider pioneers of a certain sound, it is slightly dissapointing.

So I guess in relation to this thread, I won't be coming unless dragged along by friends and have nothing to contribute. :D Sorry!

I hope everyone has fun though!!
 
I'd agree with the people that say IM aren't as good as they used to be, but honestly I still think they're worth seeing. Their shows are usually quite impressive, and they still know how to get the crowd going. :)

Every thread i've ever seen for an IM party has the same responses...usually involving the word cheese many many times.

Well, you aint seen nothing yet lol...prepare for a new level of cheese with Vicious Delicious. Doesn't bother me, I will always love them ;)

New IM cd released yesterday... tis interesting. Those who don't like cheese, this ones not for you, personally I love this cheese! :)

Yeah ive heard some mixed reports about it. Some people love it and some people arent into it. Im happy to give it a shot...i like cheese.

I wont be attending this event anymore due to a prior engagement the night before :)

Unfortunately for me, Vicious Delicious is done really unwell.

Couple tracks are cool, some are SOOOOOO BAD I wish I could get a refund for me ears.


IM have taken about 4 years from my fav psy artists from #1 to about #300.

That said, I hope people who go here have fun, that's what going to events are about!
 
The only question left unanswered is: one I will decide for myself.

^ yeah probably will be if I can get the money together in time. Already seen them 5 times so if I can't go it won't be a huge deal. Mainly going for the sake of friends.

I know! Duv Dev has gone too far with that one.

Got my ticket and a copy of vicious delicious today. There are a few good tracks on the CD but as has been said before very cheesy. Duv Dev has overdone it with the corny vocals too, but the vocals always add a bit of flavour to their live gigs.

I am hoping they will play abit of their old stuff, I would cream my pants if they played 'bust a move'!8o I guess they will probably play a vocal heavy set, but hopefully there will be some good remixs of 'I wish', 'Cities of the Future' and 'Deeply disturbed' then.

Does anyone know what to expect for their dj set? Should be interesting:D
 
I know they probably won't play it but Never Never Land would be so fucking mad to hear, as would Release Me, Spaniard and Funchameleon.
