Bass Clef Series # I – The Advent [Live]

Melbourne Techno Massive introduces the Bass Clef Series # I – Techno parties focussed on artists!

The Advent [Live]

In 1994 The Advent was born. Initially a two piece, Cisco Ferreira has continued the tradition since separation.

Elements of Life (1994), Shaded Elements (remix project), New Beginning's (1996), were all monster releases. Then in 1998, the distinctive mixed album, Kombination Phunk. He’s overseen labels including Kombination Research and Alpha Recordings and worked with the likes of Luke Slater, Joey Beltram and CJ Bolland. A true techno innovator, don’t miss Cisco 100% Live – Advent Style!

Linas [Live] feat. live didgeridoo

Releases on Bush, Pornographic, Advanced and Wet Musik; Linas is pushing a techno explosion from his studio at The Grove. His live performances personify the wall of noise, the ability to create clean dirty techno that just keeps dropping!

Support From:
Ben Cromack, PDT, Richie Rich, Simon Coyle, Dallas Raft, Matty Radovich V Craig McWhinney, Gene Hoffman V Daniel Rachelle.

Huge production including massive EAW sound rig, lasers, visuals and one of the biggest intelligent lighting outfits ever seen! We love it big and we love it loud. Get ready for an aural and visual techno experience long overdue in Melbourne! Décor by 3E Concepts.

^I had a very good reason for not going the other week. :(

Now I just have to find some other people to drag along to this. ;)

Hoping to god i'm gonna be able to come to this. Been waiting for a long while.

I have never seen THE ADVENT before in my life, but I have been following his production for at least 4 years now and wow are you guys for a treat. Fast paced, driving, dark/sometimes funked out sound that will surely make this night unforgettable.

Oh ye I forgot to say: "OH MY FUCKING GOD The Advent is coming down"!!!

WooooooooooooooooooooooHooooooooooooooooo!!!

Techno Legend!

Which week was that?

The other week @ Factory.

I'd tell you about it, but it's rather boring and depressing...

Anyway things are better now, and I'm not acting like a wet rag anymore, so i'll be there. :)

Wish they could have found a better venu for this one.... I think i speak for many people when i say that im so over Westgate S & LC.

I just hope that the sound system is up to scratch for this, coz every party that has been held there in the past year has had something go wrong with the sound.

Pleeease dont let it happen this year!!

Here's something i wrote on another forum to alleviate any issues people have with this venue:

"Altona may seem a shit venue *and in parts of the venue it is, but again, not the cricket courts* but appart from breaking even financially and having a great night all up, its the credibility that saves it all. Whoever comes to this event WILL walk away satisfied, that I can promise, then those who didn't would naturally think twice should another one come around. We can't just expect people to jump on the bandwagon. Techno wasn't the biggest thing in a matter of hours. It took time to build. We are patient and committed people. It will happen and when it does, everyone will want to be a part of it. But until then, we will continue to push what we believe in a market that is scared of itself"

Cheers,
Pete.

I trust in that! Even though I was coming anyways, coz to miss out on The Advent is simply not knowing what techno is ;) Cannot wait for this!

Pete,

Point taken mate, I wouldnt miss this event for the world anyway. But it just seems that alot of parties that have been held there as of late have had quite noticable problems with the sound setup.

I take your word for it and hope that nothing goes wrong when the Advent takes center stage :X

btw heard your set on Blackout... nice and hard, i liked it alot =D

Good. It wouldn't be a party without the old skool crew there!
