Melb - Advent*Jah Festival - REVIEWS - Kryal Castle

For anyone heading up there soon, I heard there was some type of road block in a truck weigh bridge area. Maybe just make sure your stuff is on your body, they may be searching cars.

We drove up there and it was pissing down. Did not have tickets so headed home cause of the really bad weather close by.

^^^ So true, Chik. Have banned myself from talking to anyone that went coz no doubt they will rave about how good it was... can keep telling myself that it was crap coz I wasnt there!!!
 
bah weather schmeather.

We got there at 2:30 and enjoyed 5 hours of sweltering heat & sunshine. By the time the storm broke we were so into it we couldn't care less.

This was a truly wicked event, absolutely amazing. Loved it.

Pity i didn't make it to the BL meetup, but i couldn't tear myself away from agnelli & nelson.
 
I made it to meetup but found once there that the once held significance of the meetup now did not even exist at all.
 
It was awesome as! I had the best night, even without drugs. I met heapsa new people and danced my ass off till 8 in the morning. When mine and Lahlahgatecrashers song came on, we went hardk0re. It was the best feeling on earth. Agnelli & Nelson by far had the best set.

Note to self: Do not stare at the sun with your eyes closed whilst on acid... eyelids were not made to be used as kolidescopes.

good night.... just a pain in the ass trying to sleep on the trip(both meanings) home
 
I had a fuckin wicked time!! Was my first Kryal and it blew all my expectations away, how can you not have a good time when ur going nuts with a few thousand people in a castle?!

Only downsides were...
1) the tunes in the main room, bit too mellow for my tastes, didnt really bother me too much tho I was too busy running around stupid and talking shit to everyone!

2) The amount of people who had quite obviously overdone it...saw a few stretchers go by and people being carried out. one dude nearly spewed on me when he was being carried to the first aid van 8(

Oh yeah...how funny was the car park?! Entertainment plus everytime I went out to the car! Haha so many people slipping and sliding! I'm surprised there wasn't a bigger accident then the number of little ones that did happen!

That was the best party. I had the best time. Now I'm just struggling to adapt to life outside of a castle.
The incessant rain at the beginning was a little hard to handle - but we had ponchos much to everyone elses envy... And the music was just such good quality. I sat under cover by the main stage until 9pm - oliver ho's set was good!! I was also impressed by Phil K as always but I'm fully in love with Crystal Method. Fuck they were good. The beginning of their set was a lot better than the end but they made up for this in showmanship and raising the crowds energy. And I loved when they said "We're sorry its raining but we can't fucking do anything about it. So just fucking dance!!"

It was awesome how friendly everyone was, how much effort people had put into their outfits and just the whole carnival atmosphere. Not to mention the kick ass dancers everywhere!! And i think this party had the best dance floor ettiquette I've seen. Yah!!

Good to meet those I did at the meetup. You saw me at my finest before everything turned pearshaped and I couldn't dance anymore - much to my distress.

But yeah that venue rocks. :)
 
Not a bad venue at all, good to meet most of you bluelighters, i hope i made sense. Highlight of my night was ringing the bell at the pond next to the lions and horses behind the maze. That maze is dangerous on acid.
 
oooo highlight of my night: shuffling on the flat spinny thing while k'd and rocking out to the music. It was wicked, I was so proud I didn't fall down since it was spinning fast, and I wasn't able to do it at ALL when I was straight.
 
Highlight of my night was dancing under an umbrella to Crystal Method. The meet up was fun, was good to meet many of you, hope you all had an unforgettable night.
 
That spinny whirly-gig thingy was teh Evil.
A dangerous combination of making my head and stomach nearly simultaneously explode. It was nearly very messy.

Overall a good night, i never quite got into the music as much as i normally do, but had a lot of fun talking to certain people throughout the night.

And apologies for not making it to the meetup, i was mentally shackled to a car and couldn't escape :)
 
Cool party :)

\/ Heheh yeah LD50 I was moving between mainstage and techno rooms all night. Got to see heaps of good music and stayed mostly dry for most of the time. Thank goodness the rain stopped about midnight (?) everyone's vibe lifted dramatically.
