The original retro rave-up, Belfast transforms the Metro into a ravers paradise! Whether old or new to the scene, nows the chance to hear and see what the fuss is all about! ^^^ thats what i noticed aswell when reading Beat. The Metro's also changed ownership to now so maybe things will start to improove venue and event wise.

Hopefully! :) I usually love events they have at metro its just a shit venue & too many people. It just turns me off going there.

The title of a rave is just a title. Most jaded ravers come out of the closet when the line up appeals to them (eg: this line up) or some other form of interest is sparked.
 
Why do i know that this won't live up to its slogan...

I'd probably go if it was an international hardcore act.

^I thought Mark James was on the line-up too, not that i really care. But I'll be there very early, i'm hanging to hear old skool prog sets from dean milson and Quinny before the momentum lifts with Honeysmack v Abrahams.

Would've been nice to see Andrew Marsh play again, he used to play a mean old skool set.

Metro has been newly renovated, including new sound.

Renovated... :\ I went to metro recently not having been there in like 6 years so I don't remember much of what it looked like when I first went there and if it was renovated I wouldnt been able to notice but...

I was in the fucking toilets and I stood and stared at this huge bloody hole in the wall and I remember thinking to myself 'this must be the renovations people were talking about, damn good hole that is', and just now thinking.... there was a shit load of graffeti there to!. shit graffeti, not the good kind.

Might have to speak to someone about it when I go there next. Would like to know what's anew.

Thumbs up to the sound and thumbs up to the DJ that did a huge phat bass sound that made me see two of each person in the crowd and almost made me fall over, it was the most triped out thing that has happened to me and I wasnt even on anything! hehe

I'm trying to go to this one. It's hard to con a mate to come along with me. Having no 'close' mates that are into rave type nights sucks arse!

i think you will find it's "like". Lyk looks icelandic or something to me :\

anyways, i'm jaded, and i'll be there. AFAIK the whole concept of Belfast was to crank out some of the fave's from the 90's, early 00's - the last one i attended certainly didn't disappoint in that regard.

Yes, the whole Metro/Hellraiser thing just oozes Pharmacy, but i'm hoping this will be different... will be mightily pissed if i end up hearing hard dance/hard trance/ all night :|

And yep, i'll be there early to catch Mr Quinn doing his thing. He has delivered the proggie goodness every time i've seen him :) :)
