Taking Shrooms For 1st time Any tips from experienced trippers

Hey All dealer of mine has just got some Mexican Mushrooms. Couple of us are going camping and are planning to take some. I would just like to ask all experienced Trippers what to expect? (ie Stomach Pains, time of onset ect) I have had a little experience with some psychedelics (Ket) but i know that shrooms are nothing like Ket. also would it be a good idea ro have a sitter?

To reduce the risks of nausea do the follow:

1. Don't eat anything at LEAST 2 hours before eating the shrooms (at least 4 hours before is BEST!!!)
2. Throughout the day (b4 the trip) drink a lot of juices i.e. orange, apple, etc.
3. If you like Ginger Tea get some and drink it right before eating the shrooms and wash them down with it. Ginger Tea has anti-nausea agents :)

As for the trip:

1. Be around people you are comfortable with
2. Have a good clear state of mind (be happy and excited)
3. Don't overdo the dosage (3.5g AT MOST < which can be heavy if the mushrooms are good and potent)
4. Be somewhere where you feel safe

I remember my first shroom trip... it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. The world opened up so many new possibilities, and I could see the magick and life-force in everything...

I envy you - I'd love to trip on shrooms again for the first time.

I recommend being around people you love - not just kids, but people you can really open yourself up to - people with whom you share respect, friendship, and caring - because mushrooms open a LOT of empathy up. Be around people who can offer you intelligent and enlightened conversation, because there's so much you'll want to explore during this state.

Be in a place with lots of beauty around you - with wonderful things to look at, listen to, taste, touch, and smell... home, a garden, a forest, what have you.

Have lots of yummy fruits and juices on hand to eat and drink - these things taste simply /exquisite/ while tripping on mushrooms.

Have a mirror handy - and when you're tripping good and hard, go stare into it - it never ceases to amaze me the things that I see.

Have a nice, comfy place to lay down - fuzzy blankets all the better (when I'm tripping on shrooms, my sense of touch is through the roof! Feathers, velvet, silk... all so wonderful...) - shrooms sometimes make the stomach nauseous - that's natural, don't worry about it, and puke if you need to (though lying down is usually good enough to make it go away.)

Make sure at some point to go outside and look at the stars, at the moon, at nature around you. You'll come to appreciate it in a whole new way.

If you can, have a sober person take you for a ride - I always think it's wonderful to explore the world around me under the influence of mushrooms.

Try to get a back massage - with the sense of touch being so heightened, massages are wonderful. Likewise things like playing in the rain or a sprinkler, taking a shower, and doing yoga/stretches - all wonderful.

I can't give you any advice. Any good advice anyway. Just always make sure you have ground control.

My first experience with shrooms will be something I'll never forget. I have the physical scars on my body as a daily reminder. Be safe. Don't underestimate the power of mother nature. Oh yeah, and don't do any ketamine either. :\

my advice:

1. be in a non-threatening place

2. trip with people you're comfortable with

3. if you have a fair amount of shrooms (~1/8 ) don't eat them all at once.
pace yourself.

I'll reiterate what many have said. Start small!! I've been on a drug hiatus for several years and was recently feeling comfortable enough to have a shroom trip.

I ate one. That's right one mushroom, cap and stem, and tripped for a good six hours. It was about 1.23 grams, and it was plenty for me after such a long time. I'd advise you do the same. Eat one, wait an hour, if you feel like you aren't going to be where you want to be, eat another. But remember the peak isn't untill around the 2.5-3 hour mark.

I definetly agree with the clause of not eating for several hours before the expierience, and drinking plenty of fluids before and during. A light snack (an apple and piece of melon) settles my stomach if there are rumbleys in the tumbely going on after ingestion. On this YMMV, but most people find that something light makes them feel better.

I've never expieriened a large amount of nausea on shrooms, even when I was doing them rather frequently, so in this respect you'll probly be ok.

Nature is definetly the best bet for a mushroom expierience. However, it's best to have a base of ops. where you can go and be inside away from prying eyes. Especially since this is your first time. We played in the rain at about the 2 hr. mark, and splashed in puddles (maybe not the best idea), then went for a walk at about the four hour mark, both were quite pleasent, but it was a relief to get home and be able to relax.

Well, gotta go to work, this was kinda pointless as I reiterated what others said but...have fun!!

shrooms dont taste as bad as everyone says they do. just eat them and wash them down with some soda or something. the most important thing about tripping on shrooms is that you want to be in a very good mood and don't think about having a bad trip. don't trip around people who will mess with you when you are tripping. for some reason some people find it funny to mess with people while they are intoxicated.
 
I would also say...make sure to be in a good mindset, when ive tripped when im stressed out, sad, or upset i have a very bad trip. Also during the trip if you do at any point start to get nervous/scared/emotional try to distract yourself because sometimes it CAN over power you and ruin it, i know that its happened to me. I had one trip that i got so scared and upset i cried for 3 hours straight, no matter what i did i couldnt stop and it was because i had tripped on a day i was already very upset, and because during the beginning of the trip i allowed myself to get deeper into that aspect of it. Always remember its just a drug and it will pass (if your having a bad time) :)
 
for a first time i'd say above all make sure to do it at a place where you will not meet any people you don't know and no people who are not supposed to know you are tripping.

make sure there is someone around who is experienced and who swears to take care of you in case your trip turns difficult.

in case your trip ebcomes difficult, close your eyes, shut up, breateh deeply. and keep sitting still like that.
 
Hey Thanks a lot peeps for the replies my dealer said hes going 2put the shrooms in caps so there easier to swallow :) so what do u reckon eat a bit at a time because we are only getting an 8th each. Replies Greatful

a lot of people mention nature, but don't forget lights either.
city lights will look wonderful.
if your condition allows you to, go to some place with many colour lights (cinema center or whatever)

Definetly get some of those vivid, colorful blacklight posters!!!! Set them up and illuminate them in a dark room with some blacklights play some vivid, smooth and complex music and stare at them like they are the only thing in the room and you'll get so lost in them you could swear you ARE the posters!!!

I took shrooms for the second time yesterday, and it blew me away. I have never felt better! I wish i would be able to do that again really soon, but i know i have to be patient. Yeah man, just be in a good and fun environment and dont take more than a full eigth. HAV FUN!
 
did i hear you say that you're eating 3.5 grams of dried mexican mushrooms for your first trip??? Id say thats the first problem...

Go about your day as normal, and then when the time comes, take a gram of mushrooms, chew until paste, and let sit for a minute or two. Swallow, and repeat once. DO NOT TAKE MORE THAN 2 GRAMS @ ONCE! Wait atleast 45 minutes, and if you're not feeling much, take a lil more. Have fun...
 
how to dehydrate/store shrooms

i am going to be getting some shrooms from a friend of mine, but she doesnt prepare them in any way or anything, just picks them and gives them to me. I will not be consuming these for a few days after i recieve (3 days god-willing everything goes right) and need to store these until then. It cannot give off a strong odor or anything cause i live with parents who wouldnt approve. so, back to my original question, most shrooms i guessa are dried, so how would i go about drying these, or else how do i store these until consumption. and i have figured out an approximate dosage for my first time :D to be approx 1-1.75 grams give or take. How would this relate if the shroooms are not dried?
