Here's a couple of photos of one of my two Cream Caramel plants, an update. They're getting very close to harvest time and I'm really can't wait to cut them down!

I envy you guys, it takes some mad skill to produce such beauty and still keep it free of pests like microscopic mites/spiders. My apartment's maintenence men always seem to show up and let themselves into my place every few weeks out of the blue for whatever reason. I'd never be able to get away with this shit!

^ I don't live in the US, but here in the UK workers are not allowed to invade your privacy like that. Legally they have to give at least 24 hours. I've had workmen annoyingly and inconveniently turning up without giving any warning and I've just point blank refused to let them in, telling them to make an appointment first. It's your property, even if it's rented you have rights (in the UK at least). Nobody should be allowed to enter your space without warning like that. You don't have to be growing weed as well. What if you had some kinky shit going on? It's just really not on in my opinion. Anyway you could easily set up a stealth grow wardrobe or similar. Where there's a will there's a way, and as long as you're there with them they're not going to go poking around in your shit. Tell no one and you'll be fine in most circumstances.
As for spidermites, they're easy to deal with if you know how. Check out the growing thread because there are pretty much foolproof ways to deal with spidermites nowadays. As for growing the plant shown in my pic above, I wouldn't really say it requires any skill at all. Just filling a pot with growing medium and watering it with a pre-prepared nutrient solution you'll be happy to know, so it's something anyone can do. If you did decide to grow people like me could guide you every step of the way. We're here to help.

We have rights but they cost money. When your apartment complex is run by an attorney with access to unlimited legal resources, than it's hard to stand up for yourself. Unless you resolve disagreements with black eyes (I'm getting too old for that now) then you better have a good lawyer (or boatloads of money), neither of which I have unfortunately. The lines get more blurry when you have something 'illegal' going on behind those doors in this rental community. These maintenence men act like kings of the castle when they think they have some dirt on you. I even thought about setting up a video camera when I'm not around to see if they sneak in.
Anyway, I'm getting off course here sorry!
I probably will never try to grow because I'm lacking the one essential thing to a good crop, seeds. I've heard that the seeds that come in the bags you smoke, even if it's really good, are dead or not ideal for growing because of how many times the bag has been stepped on. Regardless, I absolutely love watching other people create!

Fair play, but I would definitely move. Sounds awful. Maybe growing isn't as important to you as it to me though and moving might sound a little drastic.
As for bag seed, they are far from ideal. Much better to buy them. Even in the US they'll still ship I think (edit: I'm certain they do actually).
Look into guerrilla growing though. I know of loads of people that are in similar situations and just take their growing outside (unless they live too far north or south of the equator but most certainly don't). In fact, your latitude is ideal. edit if I were you and had the choice I would grow outdoors anyway since your climate is perfect. I won't get into too much detail about all this because I don't want to derail the thread.

AE/Tosh, I'd move too. I guess if it's an apartment complex it's harder to argue rights, but if my landlord ever let anyone in and out without my permission, I'd violate contract and stop paying. I do live in a house, though.

Art/Dave, Yeah you're both right. I'm not renewing the lease. Breaking it would cost me more since I don't have any good legal representation.
We still live in a society that makes you feel bad for smoking marijuana so I feel like I'm going into every battle a little handlicaped because it's something that my opponent can hold over my head or even stop me with in some cases. Seems like the older I get the more legal begals I run into.
