I'm not sure that there is any evidence that mixing "uppers" and "downers" stresses you're heart anymore than another other drug combination.

yes well im sure it probably wouldnt matter in the grand scheme of things, as in the fact youre using drugs is probably bad enough on your heart already.

would there be any interactions that could quite possibly be bad with this mixture? Sorry for the noob question but I dont have time to search...
 
Sorry, i actually did search. still couldnt find anything of signifigant value when it came to drug interactions. however it was important at the time as a friend had ate a pill and then snorted some methadone. it was concern really. i havent talked to him since though
 
There should be and i say should be little to no problems with that combo but i am not a doctor. If you really are planning on doing this..i would be very aware of the pills in question.

Snorting methadone is retarded.

I doubt it was very effective at all if he snorted it. He should be fine.

Methadone is metabolised primarily by CYP three-a-four and secondarily by CYP two D6. MDMA is metabolised primarily by CYP two D6 and secondarily by three-A-four. I'd say there's an interaction, though I'm not sur ehow large...

I can't find any study referring specifically to a death from a methadone/MDMA interaction.

I'd be cautious, though, as with any combination with a potential interaction.
 
Maybe next time your friend should consider interactions before he takes drugs? It's not a bad interaction, but as a general rule, don't mix opiates and MDMA as their is nearly always an interaction (and quite a bad one in the case of high doses of codeine)
 
I can attest to seeing people who have been on large doses of methdone and other opiates loong term (2-3 years) and rolling every weekend - also taking up to 5 pills many of which also had meth.
They have had no problems at all. There vitals were also checked my a doctor friend of mine who is very progressive to say the least.
I would not rec. this to anyone as i am a doctor but i have seen 1st hand the amount of healing this type of therapy has had on addicts.
In the end 2 out of 3 friends have quit opiates with "some" help from MDMA and there many sessions with themselves or friends.

Yes, i'm concerned for him when he says things like "I wan't to do ____ & ____ because of (insert reason here that doesn't really seem like the best idea)" and it's hard for me to change his mind. I want to research for his safety and hopefully educate him even if he stays steadfast in his decision.
 
Daily hydro use & E use

I tryed to UTFSE but came up with little on what my question is. I take hydro daily, have for about 3 yrs. now. I used to roll but stopped a few years ago (no I never mixed the 2). I have come across a few and want to take them tomorrow.

Should I just stop taking my hydrocondone now? (vicodin) until I get to the come down? Im fine with that. I take 7.5/500 about 3-4 a day (sometimes more sometimes less).

Sorry I know this is a pretty stupid question but oh I had to ask, thanks
 
God, I wonder how your liver is, with 2g of acetaminophen daily... you had a blood check any time recently?

Anyway, it would be a good idea to wait until you start coming down from your roll, though it's not that dangerous.
 
thanks and actully 2g isn't much(though your right its not good per say). 4g is the most daily you can/should take from what I recall. My liver is fine its been checked. Thanks 4 caring & thanks for answering bilZor ;)

Not trying to go off topic, but I wanted to ask. I know someone who takes 10/325 Norco's 4 a day and doesn't really get checked for any liver problems. But he drinks sooo much water (literally like 10 glasses or more a day) can drinking tons of water and having to pee 1 million times have any affect on keeping his liver straight??
