Reverse Bong: Recycling Smoke

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone knew of any interesting and/or unique ways of smoking cannabis that may not be too well known.

I was recently bored as shit and ended up watching this weed show on youtube called 'Strain Hunters', in one episode where they go to Trinidad their guide shows them a common way to roll spliffs in Trinidad, apparently people like to smoke weed straight green there but smoke a cigarette straight after, as a result of this it has become common for people to roll a joint onto the end of a cigarette and smoke it all in one go (you can look up a "Trini roll on" on youtube if my explanation is confusing).

Yes! I'm from Trinidad and it's called a "roll-on". It's where you roll the paper and weed onto a cig. It creates a "funk". Basically a cig that tastes like your smoke. It's the prevalent way of smoking weed here as most of the weed is rather shitty and brown and the cig at the end makes the taste bearable. I personally don't roll them when I have high grade cuz it's a waste. Imagine how much of a waste a joint is. The "funk" is worth it tho. Gives you a very mellow cig buzz if smoked when sober.

I'm almost 61 yrs old & have been tokin weed since 1969. I have never quit for any reason & will toke 'til I croak. Best substance for relaxing & I have quit cigs yrs ago, but just restarted drinking after a 10 yr hiatus. I'm not hittin' the booze like I did for 25+ yrs. Just 2-3 hard ciders on Fridays. Weed is by far the easiest on your body & I hope I live to see the day of federal legalization.

Typically I place high-ish emphasis on efficient ROAs, but with weed it's different.

I have not owned a bong, pipe, vaporizer or other smoking device since I was 19. I prefer joints (mixed with tobacco). I've been doing it exactly the same for 20 years and am not about to change my habit.

The thing for me is that I like to enjoy the whole ritual of grinding up the buds, laying it out onto the rolling paper, twisting up and packing down the doob, and then lighting it. The psychological anticipation and enjoyment of rolling and soon getting to smoke weed already gets me feeling mellow before I've taken a toke. With a bong, it's kind of like a procedure - efficiency is key, it takes seconds. With joints, I can spend a good 30 minutes on the entire act of preparing and finishing a J.

This used to be me.

Then they legalized weed and suddenly i'm sitting on ounces at a time of shit over 30%.

I still roll fat joints.... but they get put out really fast.

Honestly, with how potent my stash is and how drunk I get almost nightly? I only need a hit or three.

Really don't like cleaning glass, though, so I just grab a new bubbler for $30-$50 every few months. I like it when they're like snowglobes and have a little artistic scene on the inside? Latest one is like Alice in Wonderland mushrooms, it's kind of dope

I do enjoy smoking out of glass, especially bongs even though I don't own one right now, but my most frequent smoking method is a joint, pure. Usually if I'm smoking, especially after work or the end of the day, I'm trying to kick back and chill. Not light my bowl every toke, cover it with the lighter each time and get that all mucky, hotter smoke, stirring the bowl, etc. Just... chill.

My go-to's thesedays are:

Pure joints for flower
Waterbong for hash (silicone as more durable)
Nectar Collector with quartz tip for dabs (some kinda fancy glass dab-rig would be preferable probably but I'll just break it and it's another quite large piece of equipment that has to be stashed discreetly

If in the mood for a combo then I'm likely to go for my 'Plenty' dry herb vape and just mix some concentrate in with the herb. Occasionally when feeling the need for instant uber-stoning I'll whack a megamix of flower, live resin and hash into the bowl of my waterbong

On the rare occasions I want to consume discretely when out and about then it's a vape pen and cart. Am highly suspicious about contents of carts though so I only use ones that have been made by people I actually know and trust irl.

I just think it's easier to work with. heats up much faster and you can visibly tell when it's hot enough

I'll second the titanium. I've owned several nectar collectors, but the one I have now is the first I've had with the titanium tip and I love it. It does heat quicker, there's the visual aspect being able to tell when it's just right, and also the fuckers don't crack lol. Total buzz kill when you're mid sesh and your nectar collector breaks from heat/age lol.
