A technique question:
I'm ready to start using pod tea as an alternative source of opiates to reduce my dependence on doctors and their pharms. I've done my research and calculated suitable dosage, all I need is a hassle free way to brew up using available home equipment. I've noticed that most methods centre around a coffee maker of some kind but my espresso machine is old and simple (like me

) and uses alarmingly hot water which I'm fairly sure would denature an annoying quantity of the alkaloids I want. I do however possess an old cafetiere (those things like a coffee pot with a metal strainer on a plunger that pushes the grounds to the bottom after brewing) which is no longer ever used for coffee. Can I effectively brew up my PPT in that? I don't mind if a little pod straw escapes in to the tea. If I can, what is the best temperature of water to use in it?
I've found mentions of just about every other kind of coffee maker under the sun but none of cafetieres 8)
Thanks in advance, Ethnobot
