I was rather wrong about the munchies.. I believe my post was just pre-mature. I've since been smoking a lot with the vaporizer, and I must say, the high is great.
Definetly still have all the classic symptoms of being stoned... 3d hearing and whatnot. I'd say I'm a little less edgy, which is sort of nice. My eyes aren't as red as usual... No need for eyedrops.
Same experience here. I think that the main difference is that you smoke pure THC. You know that if weed burns, some THC is converted to other cannaboids (sp?) like CBN etc. My experience is this: THC is to me stimulating and gives a 'mind high' . CBN and so give more of a mellow 'body stoned feeling' and is more sedative.
In my book it works as follows:
* Indica strains smoked --> THC + much CBN --> stoned feeling, sedative, body
* Indica strains vaporized --> THC + a little CBN --> in between the two extemes
* Sativa straings smoked --> ditto
* Sativa strains vaporized --> pure THC --> high, stimulating, mind.
Warning: THC and paranoia are linked. The more THC, the more psychadelic effects, the higher the paranoia risk....
To put things in perspective: it is my experience that 90% of the cannabis high depends on the dose, on set (how do you feel before smoking) and on setting (where do you smoke, is it quiet etc). Only 10% (or less!) comes from the difference in strains, weed versus hash, smoking versus vapourising etc. My 0.02.
