Hey, also, I had to reformat my computer,
NO FUCKING SOURCING

And here's the pic I just took, leaves look as if they are pointing upwards, not really too sure why, Its been pretty cold, but temps have been pretty consistent.

NSFW:
ProblemPlant.jpg

(the very bottom left corner is the seedling , not part of the plant, and this all happened within 6 hours after watering, so Im guessing pH problem, as I didnt feed them with nutes as I did that last watering.)
Alot of the leaves were curling under and starting to claw , my guess is the temps hitting 60 might be locking out some of the nutes? A little to cold?

Sorry to hear of the troubles in your life prelude :( Stick in there mate.

The plants are looking good. Im not to sure why the leaves on your plant are up like that, but if it were me I would test the run-off water's pH.

It looks like your other plants leaves are curling inwards aswell which I would put down to the pH being out. You may be watering with 6.5 pH but the medium could be way lower or higher then that number. I had a mate just lose 2 plants because he didnt check the pH run-off when he assumed it would be alright as he was waterering them with a 6.5 pH.

Is there any coco in the mix?

Nice looking plants Prelude2TragedyII. Shame about the troubles your experiencing.

My two babies aren't looking too good :( First picture was from a random bag seed and the second being my clone (Great Northern Lights x Big Bud)

I got the clone maybe a month ago now and it hasn't even grown since :/ Its just slowly been dying off. Any idea's on what to give them for a boost?

Can we keep pics in NSFW tags from now on please? Just because it means the page loads a lot faster.

Hey Josh the buds on your plant look fucking amazing lots of crystles =D when you planted the clone did you place it directly in the sun?Just a thought i could have shocked the plant....idno?

Thanks man, Hows your setup coming along?

As for the clone, Yea as soon as I pulled most of the rockwool off i planted it, gave it a water and left it in the rays.

I'm pretty sure Ive stressed it out bigtime, either by watering it and leaving it the sun straightaway OR I might have damaged/removed some of the roots when i was trying to separate them from the rockwool.

Hey Josh the young one definatly would have stressed if you removed the rockwool from around the roots. You could have just planted the rockwool cube straight into the soil.

You can try leaving her in a shaded area and misting her. The hot temps over there are probabaly a bit much for her atm like JS suggested.

Cheers Wise,

Ill move both of them into the shade tomorrow. They don't look to promising though.

Yeah setups ready just gotta prep my shed now on wednesday i'll buy all the shit for it wood, tarp, fill a gap.foil, bug bomb ect and when i have some meth next probaly this weekend i'll set it up :D thinking of getting a fluro grow tube to put in my cupboard to grow seedlings then move them into the shed once there rootbound but 1 step at a time haha

i've always been told when trying to grow clones put them in a damp cool place with a little bit of light like under a shrub or somthing and keep the rockwool nice and moist keep it growin until you see roots poke through the bottom the chcuk the whole this in some soil....

Lol, Meth aye? I like your style.

Wicked man, I bet your excited. Yea by the sounds of it, Ive fucked up any hope my clone has :(

Oh well, trial and error.

Good luck with her dude. As long as she is still green there is life :)

Hey JS looking forward to peeping your grow out. If your using HPS look into buying some Panda Filming or Mylar which are both used as reflective sheets for indoor growing. Using foil can create hot spot's on your plants and burn tiny holes through them.

What kinda strains are you using or is it just some bagseed you got?

Thanks for the tip mate diden't know that....Do you think the tin shed will be fine for reflection?Or should i get some mylar or somthing?Once i get the setup done im gonna take a photo of my plants each day and make a slidshow from seed to harvest :D so theres plenty of pics to come ;)
I've got 2 seeds left over from my first successful grow and mostly indica..... very heavy stone type of shit that glues you to the couch kinda looked like the plant your growing great yeild 31/2 per plant and i've got plenty of mostly sativa im gonna grow 2 seeds of the sativa and 1 indica and my dads gonna grow the same let you guys decide whos is better ;)

^You've been here long enough to know that you can't ask someone for a PM source in a public forum.

Bit of sad news from the past week, I had to rip my girl up out of the ground as someone found the plot she was in and released all the ties and threw them back over the plant. :X

No animal or winds could have done this as one particular weight had rocks wrapped inside it that only a human could pick up.

I transplanted(ripped her straight out of the ground with my bare hands) then put her into garbage bags then mover her away. :o

So far after 4 days since the transplant she's still looking great with no problems. :)

She has about 2-3 weeks to go.

These things happen, nothing is a given when your guerilla growing. Im just glad I still have her and she dosent seem to be stressed. I am amazed time and time again at how resilliant these plants are :)

FYI we've been having heaps of rain in sydney the past 2-3 days. We had our monthly rain fall in 1 day 8o Concerns now are for mould, but hopefully the weather gets better in the next week.

Sorry to hear about that happening! I would be well gutted. At least the person didn't destroy your plant though. They probably weren't trying to cause harm, but better safe than sorry is my motto, so you were right to move it. I'm surprised it survived being ripped out of the ground - shows how resiliant weed (which is a weed after all!) is!

You regular posters here are absolutely amazing growers and so insanely knowledgeable. We're lucky to have the few of you that we do, I hope my gorilla grow goes well, it's almost time to scatter seeds in some common area woods... Just not sure if I want to bother with chicken wire around some or not.

Get 4 posts (you can buy decent galvanised fence posts from DIY stores) and thread it through good quality zinc-plated chicken wire that won't rust. This is essential if you don't want your plants to be pillaged.

If you're growing in a container I would wrap copper tape around it, since slugs are not able to get past the copper without burning themselves to shit. You could also sprinkle iron-based organic slug pellets (make sure it is organic and not some harmful cheaper version!).

I would also piss around your plants since animals don't like going near human urine. It's a good fertilizer too (I spray piss all over my garden on a regular basis and use it as a compost accelerator). Don't worry about smells as it breaks down rapidly.

This year I'm going to trial a product called 'Lion's Roar', which are pellets infused with the essence of Lion's dung and urine I think. Pretty much any animal will be put off this if they get a whiff!

Hey, also, I had to reformat my computer,
I lost all of my bookmarked pages, I was wondering if someone could PM me a few sites for seeds, Only one I could remember off the top of my head.)
Thanks again, and sorry Ive been off and gone for so long.

And here's the pic I just took, leaves look as if they are pointing upwards, not really too sure why, Its been pretty cold, but temps have been pretty consistent.

Leaf curling could be a sign of a bad watering schedule. That's just one possibility. They don't look bad at all though, so I wouldn't worry.

I would get a max/min thermometer so you know what the lowest and highest temperatures are and will have a better idea of whether it's getting too hot or cold at some point during the day. These are indespensible in any indoor cannabis garden. They're cheap too!

If you want to cut costs, get a tin of matt white paint, as it reflects light very effectively (almost as well as mylar, interestingly). It has to be mat and not shiny though, as this diffuses the light better, avoiding hot spots.

Mylar can be expensive but is definitely worth it in the long run. If you can't afford it, go for the matt white paint and save up for the mylar for the next grow or something.

..........

One of my Frisian Dew seeds has already popped! That means it took less than 3 days to pop - amazing. I love Root Riots! The main reason why they're better than peat pellets (which are also excellent, partly because they're cheap but also because you can buy them in normal garden centres rather than having to buy them through mail order) is because you don't get some seeds germinating one day and the rest germinating two weeks later - with Root Riots they all germinate roughly at the same time, which is handy if you want predictable results.

The weather here where I live in the UK is so nice at the moment that I'm tempted to move all my plants outside during the day and then just bring them back indoors at night when the temperature drops. My greenhouse is almost completely ready, meaning I'll be able to use it in the next couple of days, at last. I'm going to try and fit autovents tomorrow so that I have better control over the temps.

I'm a bit worried that my cannabis plants in the greenhouse will get rediculously large with me putting them out so early, meaning the chances of getting caught will increase a lot. I might have to move them to do a guerrilla grow and just take cuttings to grow into plants in the greenhouse later in the year, like around July. That means that they won't veg in the greenhouse for too long and their by the time they flower their size will be more manageable. Hopefully the tomato plants that I will have in there will get so big they'll obscure the cannabis from view.

growing with schultz potting mix

HEy everyone,

Im growing some herb of no specific whatthefucks its just some seeds froma sack i got. I just put the seeds in dirt today, and im using Schultz Premium Potting Soil Plus, with the claim that it feeds for nine months, perfect for indoor and outdoor plants! sounds good to me, right? w

what im looking for is a simple grow, im planning to have it outside mostly and bring it inside to protect from dogs (who will end up getting a hit from it anyway lol)

The soil is 12-9-7.

Am i going to need to add more nutes to make it flower or will it be okay to just water it every once in a while? im not looking to grow dank, im just looking to grow to say i grew. and to have some guaranteed clean 100% organic bud

I had a bit of a change of heart and just placed an order for some more seeds (different to what I was originally planning to get!):

Product: Sweet Seeds Fast Bud Feminized
Options: Feminized Seeds Per Pack - 03 Seeds

Product: Female Seeds Purple Maroc
Options: Feminized Seeds Per Pack - 04 Seeds

Product: UFO#1 Dinafem Seeds Diesel (free seed)

So the Purple Maroc will be grown guerrilla-style in a secure location and the Fast Bud seeds will be grown in a greenhouse.

I can't fucking wait. I've got so many strains now - they should keep me busy for a long time!

The fast bud seeds are autos so I should have a smoke ready for summer!

That is not organic at all, so your plan for 100% organic bud has gone out the window unfortunately. I would read up on the basics of growing before diving into the deep end. It doesn't have to be hard, but it does take some planning and usually some monetary investment.

Firstly, your genetics may very well be sub par. Using bag seed is notoriously unreliable. You don't know what the hell you're getting (the weed it came from is not an indication of what the plant will end up as).

That potting mix is also using controlled release fertilizers which release inorganic chemical fertilizers over a long period of time. This is undesirable, unless you want weed that tastes of chemicals.

I would start again and buy an organic compost. I don't know what's available where you live, but you could easily grow organically by planting in the ground instead of using a potting mix (which isn't suitable for seeds anyway). To do this you would need to germinate in a sowing a cutting mix or a multipurpose compost and then plant it into well cultivated soil mulched with plenty of organic matter (coir, compost, rotted manure etc) once it's developed it's true leaves, if the weather is good enough (again, I don't know what latitude you're at and whether it's too late or not).

If you buy a gardening book (any decent one will do) and turn to the section that tells you how to grow tomatoes, following the advice there will allow you to be able to grow weed since they are so similar.

edit: also this belongs in the mega cultivation thread. All cultivation questions go there if you didn't already know.

^This. AE speaks the truth.

A good organic potting mix in the US is called Root's. I know of a few growers, and breeder's who use this with fantastic results.

Nice to see you stocking up AE. It's going to be a good year for you :)

I'll be starting to look over some strains soon for next season. Im a huge fan of Haze. Ive had good success with Green House seeds so i'll probably go for some his Haze variety's.

I also cant wait till I get started up again, a few months away yet though.
