how does she look to you? she has been in flower for 2wks today, i fed her for the first time today with 5 ltrs of water, i poured it on slowly like you advised and she drank the lot with only a very small amount trickling out the bottom, do you think any thing is wrong with her or do i need to do any thing to help her?
Photos are poor but they look pretty good from what I can see, mate

If you turn the HID light off when you're taking a photo but use the flash, and pull back a bit so that I can see more of the plant in one shot, then I might be able to get a better idea about how it looks. I wouldn't worry though, as from what I am able to see it looks fine.

As for the hanging baskets, the only issue I can see is the issue all hanging baskets seem to have - they dry out too quickly, meaning you need to water at least once a day. I have smaller hanging baskets (12") which potentially will dry out quicker than the larger ones, so I'm going to to be using sphagnum moss instead of just a coir insert (the type of coir that's used to make door mats), which retains water really well. People use water retaining gel to help retain water, but cannabis doesn't like this. The sphagnum moss I got is apparently from a renewable source, so hopefully it's not damaging to the environment.
So, I have to design a medium that retains water well, but also drains well and is aerated. I'm definitely going to use seaweed granules that have been designed to retain water, swelling to 8 times their original size and will improve the state of the medium in terms of bacterial activity and soil structure. I'll also include peat moss, since this naturally retains a lot of water and is very stable and will try to use some loam possibly, even if it does make the basket quite heavy. There will have to be a fine mulch on the top to seal the moisture in the basket in and I might even consider some sort of automatic irrigation (the more simple the hanging basket is the better, so I don't want to start messing with something that isn't necessary). In the planting will go a handful of worm compost since it holds water wonderfully.
I've chosen an autoflowering strain because it will cut the growing time (I'd hate to grow a normal strain for the whole season in a hanging basket without some serious training). I should be able to grow two hanging basket crops a year this way. I could even include legitimate plants with the cannabis that act as a natural companion to cannabis and ward off pests and do all sorts of other wonderful things to improve growth.
AE, keep us posted about the hanging baskets, it's something I've thought about in the past and I'm really interested to hear how you get on.
Will do. Perhaps it would help if I were to post a how to guide with photos (especially if it works really well)?
