My pitbull Lilikoi is the BEST dog I have ever met!!

The first thing she did that impressed me was when my husband (then boyfriend) said Lilikoi, time for a bath, she put her head down and sadly walked herself right into the tub. It was SO cute! She;s not fond of baths but she knows it has to be done so she goes into the tub without a fight. She's like this with anything she doesn't like doing

I also love her enthusiasm for going for walks. Since she knows the word "walk" we are constantly motifying the word we use so that she doesn't get all excited in case it doesn't happen, You know like "Is it still raining or should we go for a wizzle" We can't use the same phrase more than twice otherwise she learns what it means. One time my mother in law asked my daughter (who just started cruising around furniture) "You wanna practice walking?" LIlikoi came running from the back of the house wiggling her little butt like "hell yeah i wanna go walking!!!!!!!"

She also helped teach my kids how to crawl by letting them chase her around the house, I'm assuming she will also help them practice walking when they are able. She is REALLY REALLY good with kids!!! They pull on her tail, try to rip her fur out, hit her, etc and she just kisses them. If she ever has a problem she just leaves the room. But honestly i think she doesn't trust us parents enough to be left alone with the kids lol. Sometimes i catch her giving us the stink eye when the babies are doing something wrong, like "aren't YOU supposed to be watching these little creatures?!!"

^Pitbulls are the shit :)

Mine, who is 5 months old, obviously lovoooovvves to chew.
When he starts chewing on something his eyes tend to glaze over and you can almost hear his mind go "ChewChewChewChewChewChewChew"

I'm trying to think whether my pup does anything unique or not. So far I'm drawing a complete blank.

She's novel and extraordinary, I swear she is! :(

She sounds incredibly intelligent!! And wonderful <3
I reckon it's a sign of high intelligence when dogs are that good with babies/kids.

My doglet is also amazing with babies and children!! It's just instinctive because he's not really spent that much time with kids.

I think I've posted this somewhere on here before but this has happened a few times whenever I've been at my parents place for dinner with my brother and his family (he has a 2.5 year old son): While we're having dinner Jack (my nephew) has a nap on his little mattress in the loungeroom next door. I've had a look under the dinner table for Cosby (where he usually lies when we're all eating) and he's not been under there. I walk out to the next room to look for him and he's been sitting at Jack's feet guarding him while he sleeps! <3

Also, I took Cosby to my boyfriend's mum's house for dinner once, and my boyfriend's sister was there with her new baby. My boyfriends mum's dog is a HUUUUGE German Shepherd x Rottie and is totally sweet and lovely, but clearly felt threatened by the baby's presence and wasn't comfortable. But Cosby just sat in front of the baby's pram and whenever Charlie (the big dog) would come over to investigate Cosby would growl softly and herd Charlie away from the pram. And this was the first time Cosby had ever met that baby! Amazing.

Cosby also patiently plays "fetch" with my baby nephews. It is so adorable to watch :D The babies can only throw/push the ball about a foot away from them, but Cosby picks it up and gently places it at their feet for them to do it again. So cute!! =D

Wait, here are some photos of Cosby playing fetch, again, with a baby he'd never met :)

Aww Cosby sounds awesome! those pics of him playing ball with the baby are so, so cute. I'll have to come back and talk about my critters, way too late to be posting, but I couldn't resist saying "good boy Crosby!"

My friend dropped off a 10 gallon tank, I've been thinking about using it for something besides fish. Any recommendations for what would be a good aquatic animal to place in it? Turtles? Frogs? Crabs? Shrimp?

i had frogs when i was very young. you have to buy crickets for them to eat. turtles need veggies i think.

she is a brute of a dog tbh, really strong jaws. started when we used to go collecting firewood, we would obviously pick up sticks for kindling and throw some for the dogs, this one just started bringing logs home instead of sticks lol.
I have a huge area where they can run and every day she finds a couple and brings them back, she also gets the benefit of lying in front of the fire though :)

she is a special girl, the other ones are quirky too, I have one that goes to her food bowl takes out a mouthful of food and takes it to where ever the kids are and eats whilst watching them, another one barks if anyone other than a family member tries to talk to the kids, she is the same one who only eats used socks at night under the bed. The oldest one is a laugh now, when you tell her to go out there is cows in the garden, she looks out of the window first rofl. love my doggies so I do. I have a cat called Murphy who is 13 now, he likes it when the kids dress him up and push him about on the gocart. As a kitten he was funny with his wee spasm moments used to scramble up the side of the bin and wait for the dogs to pass and jump on there backs. :) wee shite lol
