[MEGA] Cannabis Strain discussion thread

I almost feel sorry for those of you that have not experienced hydro. grown herb that has been loved and cared after to produce the most potent product possible. Sure it costs twice as much, if you are lucky enough to find it, but , when you smoke it (so I've heard) you know damn well where that extra $ went.%)
 
Bin Laden Weed

roughly the intro:
"check this out, we was up in chicago right, my nigga big (somethin) passed me a blunt like smoke this shit this some of that bin laden weed. that man said that weed is like 3 different kinds of weed grown all together, it's some straight killer, some fire"
the chorus:
who got that hydro? who got that light green? who got that bobby brown? who got that laden weed?



Can someone explain what "3 different types of weed grown all together" means? This is one strain, called Bin Laden weed. The song goes on to say the weed is really really good.

could mean a cross of three strains... but the whole thing sounds a bit ridicolous
 
i merged this thread with another (also merged) one we already have going about different weed strains.

so far this thread includes Blueberry, Maui, Shark, Bin Laden...

please keep all discussion about different marijuana strains here. :)
 
Rappers smoking killer weed in the ghetto and rapping about it.

Instead of 'grown' could the word be 'thrown' than I could see a namebrand weed being a mixture of 3 different strains.

I find that most rap artists really never seem to know what they are talking about when it comes to weed, but I do believe they get stoned to the hee-bee-gee-bee's...
 
The rappers I'm referring to are notorious sellers of many types of drugs including weed. I'm not saying they are experts and %100 right but just because they're black and ghetto doesn't mean they automatically beleive everything they are told about weed. "3 different types of weed grown (yes, he does say grown) all together" may refer to cross-breeding, but I don't know anything about that stuff. The only reason they called it Bin Laden was because it's "killer," very potent
 
Anyone ever tried the strain Albert Walker? :) It's a nice indica with a long lasting high that is almost debilitating. Great for vegging on the couch with a bong and a big bag of m&m's. Buds are very long and skinny. White and red hairs on them. It's my favorite and is quite popular in western south carolina and northeastern georgia. It is where I chose my screen name from :).

OT: If you mix bush and hydro together, does it make a cleaner trip, more high, or jsut increase the side effects?

Me and a few friends all mixed up our different shit yesterday- and it was one of the greatest highs I have had in a while.
 
I buy my weed from the cannibus clubs.
So I *always* automatically know what type im getting... its a great feeling walking into a room where you can select 30 diff. kinds of pot.
But, most of my street dealers through the times have mostly known what theyre talking about.. i dont think its BS unless the people you guys are buying from are ignorant
 
I've smoke alot of stains that were said to be certain ones, at festivels or from friends. But out of the one I know for sure. Blueberries from southern Ohio. My favorite tasting, and an Afghani strain from a couple cities over. Definite couchlock bud.
 
I remember an eigth of hydro I bought last year, You could smell it through the plastic bag, which was inside my backpack, and i was standing 4 feet away.
and why hasnt anyone mentioned purple haze? I made my return from a 3-month break smoking purple haze, and it was great, a very dreamy high, with everything looking fuzzy.

Yeah I guess there are probably a few definate strains, and weed quality can vary tremendously- but still- its nearly always come up by an 11yr old trying to impress his mate about the peach super special shit, jsut cos the overpriced weed he bought came in flavoured cigar.

go to emery seeds and you will see 584 strains, all of them different. If you grow, you can clearly see major differences between strains. indicas tend to be bushy and give you a sedate high and sativas give tall lanky plants with an up cerebral high and growers have cross polinated the indicas and sativas to create a massive variety of plants. some you cant tell the difference but most you can.

just because grower A comes up with his own strain of blueberry, doesnt mean its not really blueberry. it's like apples ~ growers grow their own varietys that fit their needs and wants and over a period of time they repeatedly pick the best product for their environment...and over time, carefully selecting the best apples from the bunch that have the characteristics you want will yeild your very own strain of apples.

as for hydro i hate it because it uses chemical fertilizers (natural ones are too chunky for the hydro system) and those ferts can give you headaches, jaw problems, and cancer. ORGANIC ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!


as for my favorite strains:

The Real McCoy - smoked this in amsterdam and it was spicy and sweet...the sweet and sour chicken of the cannabis world...it looked like it was brushed with gold dust.
silver haze ~ crazy strong and masterful psychadelic high
bubblegum ~ wonderful bubblegum flavor
white rhino ~ smooth with a great quazi bubblegum flavor and tremendous body stone
blueberry haze ~ blueberry x haze, nuff said.
SAGE ~ from the strictly conniseur file, this one has a unique taste...very fragrant.

any berry strain (blue/bubble) is very delicious and my favorite sativaish strains. Afghani for indica...very heavy heavy stone. (the whites are good too (rhino/widow)).
its so hard to pick just one! :\
