Hey everybody, hope you all are doing well and aren't getting too much anxiety from all the politics lately. Seeing as it's over, try to let it go and simmer down if you're wound up.

Anyways, I just thought I'd let you guys know that I'm having a surgery Friday and may not be posting for a while after that. It's not at all a dangerous surgery (just kind of a shoulder thing) but I may be out of the game for a while and didn't want anybody to think I had abandoned them. Wish me luck 0.0

Hey guys I've been hesitant to write this post since I dont want to jinx anything, but I have been feeling really good lately. Its been nearly 2 months since I felt the need to come on this site. And while I still have the occasional bit of anxiety or depression (more so than before the incident) it has been so much more manageable. I even started re-introduing caffeine into my diet and it has gone really well. I finaly feel like I can get through a day of work without falling asleep. ( I have missed caffeine so much!) I still have head pressure now and then but it doesnt bother me that much.

Its been about 6 and a half months since I took half a pill of what I was told was tested mdma. I can't tell you how good it feals to have my life back and feal like I'm able to work toward my future again. I'll try to post back after I can safely say I have made a %100 recovery. Hang in there everyone. I know how hopeless it can feal at times but its just the ltc talking. It will get better!

Does alcohol really affect symptoms ? To cut a long story fairly short - I'm a long term brain zap sufferer currently on 1 year and 4 months and have been keeping a diary of it since december last year. Around mid summer I concluded that these zaps lasted so long because I kept drinking on weekends and felt it really interrupted and slowed down the healing process. So for 4 months I've basically stopped drinking (only a few drinks once a week) but I really haven't seen much of difference only very slight. Starting to think that this condition only flares up on its own accord and just need to ride it out... It's making me really depressed not having a social life really as I've stopped going out (because when I do I drink so much). They are definitely getting better it's just a very slow process and miss being able to go out! Thanks (obv stopped all drugs aswell)

Brain zaps are a bit different and separate from LTC symptoms it seems and at least they are known to be a phenomena of the peripheral nerves (the nerves of the head) and not the brain itself (although they can certainly freak one out) hence they often come with head movements. But anyways I haven't heard any info on avoiding alcohol for brain zaps but it does help people recover from LTCs.

You might look and see if some people have brain zaps during alcohol or benzo withdrawal, or if benzo/alcohol use worsens SSRI withdrawal induced brain zaps, depending on reports or lack of reports of worsening you may gauge your social drinking level accordingly

I would just definitely make sure to stay hydrated if drinking alcohol. It's the dehydration that can mess with sleep a lot as well.

Have you tried the lions mane? Maybe it could help you. Especially if it is more an issue of the peripheral nerves it should help because it supports the release of NGF (nerve growth factor) not only in the brain but also in peripheral nerves.

Used to do MDMA a bit too much, once every 2-4 weeks at around 150-200 mg. Just did a bunch of 6-APB and 4-FA this weekend and feeling real down. I know the cause of my old anxiety and depression now. I never really thought rolling was causing my symptoms, but now I know it was mostly due to serotonin depletion. Last 4 days since my 6-APB+4-FA binge this weekend have felt like eternity of worrying, depression and anger. I can't wait to be back to baseline, I am slowly coming back to normal :)
I took about .25 gs of mdma about 2 nights ago. And since I took it, I haven't been able to sleep, eat, and I've been really nauseous and depressed.

. This happened to me, I started to feel better about a week later. 3 weeks later I retriggered the whole rash of symptoms smoking pot and drinking, and am still suffering 5 months later. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY! Stay away from weed until you are 100% positive you're better for a while. Drinks aren't as risky but keep it minimal until you're positive your better as well.

Ok thanks!!

Hello, no I haven't. What actually is it ? Where can you buy it and is it safe? Thanks

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hericium_erinaceus
It's a type of mushroom that is not only used medically but also as a tasty food. You can usually buy it in powdered and capsuled form in organic stores or maybe in the pharmacy. The main nerve healing substances are Hericenone and Erinacine. You can read more about their properties on the article. As far as I know there are no side effects, but you can look up after that. The medical dose is usually about 1-3g dry mushroom per day.
I myself used it for about 2 months and had absolutely no side effects. In my opinion it's one of the safest supplements.
Try at first one capsule in a safe environment to see if you react allergic to it, this is the only dangerous situation I could imagine happen.

thank you ! Have just bought some and gonna give it a go. Didn't think there was some sort of supplement for this and it sounds like it could help, thanks a lot will keep you posted ! Has anyone else on here ever used lions mane? Thanks

I don't know if it helps with brain zaps but I think that it's worth it to try every possible route especially if it's so harmless.

I honestly believe mdma is responsible for making my existing depression and social anxiety WORSE. I was taking it regularly (almost every weekend) for 2 years than took a high dosage 6 months ago in May which triggered a horrible come down leading to severe anxiety. I went on xanax and cymbalta which helped greatly than switched to Paxil and klonopin. I am now doing fine and improving cognitively, socially, and my depression has lowered.

For anyone looking into herbal remedies
B12 works to help repair cognitive function and so does fish oil - but fish oil may increase depression.
Try staying away from dairy products and eat or drink super food smoothies such as cacao powder, chia, green superfood, acai berry.
Also try one a day vitamins and green tea.
