I'm all about meeting up on the grassy knoll! Why would we abandon it?
Although I have to say for myself personally.... most of my quality time with BL'ers will be before and after Starscape. My 2 favorite DJs (Steve Smooth and Bad Boy Bill) are spinning and I cannot be bothered during either of their sets And I will be seeing all my friends back "home" at Starscape and they'll kill me if I don't make time for them.
Last year I basically stayed at our meetup spot all night.... this year I'll be making an appearance or two. I guess. But things change
Next, on the WB. My 2 djs' see what happens when Steve Smooth locks BBB's keys in the car, with all the equipment inside! watch as the hilarity, and drama ensues as the duo fight to make it to the party, and the paycheck.
hehe i think we should still keep 'the grassy knoll' in our plans, although last year we sort of took over that whole little wooden separator thing by the dnb tent. that works fine too
as for the bathrooms (portapotties!) the best plan is to figure out where all of them are....there ended up being little collections of them in different places, and if you figured out where some were out of the main walkways, you got the non-crowded non-nasty ones :D
I HAVE A REQUEST:
Can someone find me a flyer and mail it to me (preferred) or just hang on to it until ss?
He may not be on the flier but I just got an email update from his site (yes I'm a dork I love him so much I'm on his email list ) and it's listed as a tour date. He's gonna be there and I refuse to believe otherwise!
I'm on the East Coast for the summer, so I'm tempted to go. However, the lineup isn't very exciting, as it contains many played-out DJ's who generally spin music that is too cheesy for my liking.
Is it worth it to go there just to meet other BLers?
Let's put it this way.... there was about 50 of us that did the meetup last year. Most of us stayed at the same hotel too. And this year, I'd say a good half of the Bluelighters coming from various parts of the country (mostly NE region) are coming JUST to hang out with BL'ers and many of them aren't even going to the event.
So yes, it is beyond worth it to go just to meet BL'ers. Also... Starscape is always a good time regardless of the lineup. This year will be my 4th Starscape. I didn't really care for any of the DJs last year and actually did not make a point to catch any DJs sets last year but I still had a blast because of all the wonderful company (of BL'ers)
yeah, i'm one of them. Going to Bmore, but not to the party. I'm only gonna know a handful of you before this trip, but it's worth it to me. I just love chaos, hotels and alcohol...so it seems like i'm gonna have fun no matter what :D
