There seems to be a lot of overlap between the second part of 'Tis and Teacher Man, which is a bit annoying, unless I'd already listened to 'Tis but forgot it all due to benzos, which is also possible. Angela's Ashes is amazing though you're right. During one epiosde of The Sopranos all the Mafia wives had a book club evening, and they were discussing that book with very high praise. I think it will go down as a twentieth century classic, if it isnt already.
Did you say you studied it as part of your GCSE? Thats a huge improvement, we had to study Death Of A bloody Salesman, which felt very very tedious at the time. During the exam there was an option to write an essay about George Orwell's Animal Farm, which i had read out of my own choice and enjoyed much more. I was tempted to write my exam essay on that instead, i might aswell have done because i got a U for English Lit O level first time round. I also had problems with my O level English teacher which turned me off everything she tried to teach us about.
