Man Steals Pharmacy Drugs After Hiding In Ceiling

I sometimes dream about being in a pharmacy after hours, and having my way with it.

made this for a different story on fark of some other guy in the ceiling perving on people but whatever it still seems appropriate

Phrozen,

By "under lock and key", what exactly do you mean? Are they actually taken off the shelf at the end of the day and stored in a safe overnight? I thought that pharmacies just had those metal gates that pull down over the front counters to keep people out at night - do they actually do even more than this?

Just curious :)

By law, CII's(and maybe even CIII's and above) are kept locked away even during hours of operation. The inventory is also very strict, and pharm tech's aren't supposed to handle CII's. (I'm sure some do though)

Really? Is this a State or Federal law?

I'm not saying you aren't correct, but I've seen otherwise - I used to have a script for Duragesic (Fentanyl - Schedule II), and the pharmacist always had them stocked right on the shelf (and this was your typical chain pharmacy - Rite Aid).

I've also gawked at other pharmacy stocks when picking up Rxs at various pharmacies - and I've seen Duragesic and Actiq on the shelves behind the counter at various places. I assumed that other Schedule IIs were also just located on the shelves, although I could be wrong.

Are you sure they really lock them all up?

Well, once you call in a script they remove whatever medicine you want and get it ready for pick-up. It wouldn't make much sense to keep every prepared script locked up, as serving them would be a constant hassle of unlocking and locking the safe.

As for seeing the large bottles or boxes on the shelves, they're probably empty. Hell, they could even be placebo products made by the manufacturer. Purdue made such OxyContin, which was given to thieves if they were ever robbed.

I'm not sure what type of law it is...

But I remember reading about it and I've been told about it by various pharm tech's that I've known.

Haha this would so not work in my town's pharmacy. It's very small hehe. Everyone would see you hitting out a ceiling tile and climbing up. It would be funny

Yes by law they are SUPPOSE to but surely many do not, probably at night but not during the day. I know some people that worked at a pharmacy (not even pharm techs) and they said fill tons of percocet and oxy scripts all day. And since there are a ton of them going out the bottles are right out on the shelves. And if they are not they are in the safe but the safe is open.

how does he get out? go back into the ceiling until morning?
how does he even have time to 'pick and choose' his meds once he drops through the ceiling? You're telling me there's zero motion sensors or anything? I would have assumed that the second he jumped through that ceiling the place's alarms would be going bat shit. Weird... but smart! Like everyone's already said, damn, what a dream of an average bl'er, to be able to stroll through a pharmacy's good stuff and pick and choose! I'll take oxy and some xanax, supersized please =D ... I'll take it to go!

This guy is a pimp... I'm speechless, and I feel like everyone else I'd shit if I could have all those pills.. I'd prolly be dead in a couple days if I had all that shit tho.
