Look at it this way, your house has just burnt down and insurance was probably cancelled a while ago to support your meth habit.

Consider two possible ways to spend the night:
1. Going and staying with some relatives that you really dont like.
2. Smoking a bowl pondering what your new house will look like, take a nice big fat line, rebuild the house hopefully in time to be able to sleep in a freshly painted bedroom once you start coming down

why even take drugs just stand outside the burning house and get high of the burning fumes. And what do you recon would happen to the neighbours do you recon anyone would b effected if a next door meth lab went up in flames. i know id b standing kinda close

If he let the firemen do their job, maybe he could've saved the drugs. Plus, the house is worth alot more. If he had gotten the drugs without getting caught, he would've lost alot more money than if just let the drugs burn and keep the house in a better shape.
