Man brings nine bags of drugs to Manhattan court, gets into fight with court officer
BY TINA MOORE AND SHAYNA JACOBS
FEBRUARY 19, 2014,

Carlos Tineo, 24, of Brooklyn was at Manhattan Criminal Court for a scheduled appearance when he spilled nine envelopes, believed to be filled with heroin, when he emptied his pockets at the metal detector. He then got into a melee with the court officers when they tried to arrest him, cops say.

Cops say Carlos Tineo, 24, was carrying nine bags filled with what's believed to be heroin. "White Tiger" was stamped on the envelopes.

A man dropped nine bags of a substance believed to be heroin at a Manhattan courthouse Wednesday and then attacked the officer who tried to arrest him, cops said.

Carlos Tineo, 24, assaulted the 36-year-old female court officer in the lobby of the Manhattan Crimininal Court on Centre St. after setting off a metal detector and spilling glassine envelopes branded "White Tiger" as he emptied his coat pocket, cops and sources said.

A melee erupted as officers tried to restrain Tineo about 12:45 p.m. An NYPD officer who was nearby collared the violent drug suspect, who was charged with felony assault, assaulting an officer, obstruction of governmental administration and possession of a controlled substance.

New York State Court Officers Association president Dennis Quirk said courthouse visitors often carry dangerous items and drugs to court.

"It's the constant problem we have on the magnetometers, where people come to the building with drugs and all sorts of contraband," Quirk said.

Tineo, of Brooklyn, was apparently at the building for a scheduled appearance relating to a July 9 arrest.

He was charged with driving a 2003 Mercedes Benz with a suspended license after failing to signal at West End Ave. and W. 77th St. after midnight. The car allegedly reeked of pot and authorities said he admitted to toking up.

"That's my weed. I was smoking it," he said, according to the criminal complaint.

I wonder if the dope was good, white lion is a cool sounding stamp name. Makmes me think sea dope with the lions on it uo globe i think it was called. I almost walked into court a long ass time ago with my glass one hitter and weed in a metal canister. Completely forgot it being in there and it set the detector off so i said ohh i forgot i have a boxcutter from work in there im going to go put it in my car lol. Luckily they just let me go back out and i quickly took off the jacket and went back in. Would have sucked going to court for a trafic ticket and coming out arrested and in cuffs.

I did maintenance type work at a court house for a few months. The regularity with which people brought banned stuff in with them was pretty amazing. Most the time it was a pocket knife or a razor or something. Wasn't lucky enough to see anything as action packed as what Carlos did. But it is striking how forgetful people are.

I think we do ass clowns around here. Lol

The assclown award is a coveted award that usually isn't bestowed on drug users who have only managed to ustterly fcuk themselfs over by their absolute lack of grey matter promoting the utterly life crushing "justice" system hard against themselves.. but who are we kidding.. I hope you get out as quick as possible but good lord even half wits generally dont fight cops unless they are drunk.. so you may have successfully gotten out of the dope charge because it may be dismissed because of all the other violent and real criminal charges you picked up. You just should come to the conclusion that your gifts thus far haven't fallen in judgment, foresight, or quick thinking as opposed to panicking and either providing a confession to or trying to get violent with cops. You sir are todays assclown.. Im not sure you will be to worried as you seem to have other things to think about, which may mean your still not worried.. step one is engage your brain, step two is act or talk.
