Macro Photography

I think I've only ever take one really decent macro photograph before. I have taken some okay ones I would say, but this one is my favourite (I have a cropped version printed and framed on my wall)

He came back a few months later all grown up. I know it was the same frog because of markings I compared in photographs :)

I use a Nikon D40 with various lenses. For that particular pic I used a Nikon AF-S 55-200mm VR with a Raynox DCR-250 to convert it into a macro lens.

You should seriously print and exhibit/sell/both those.

Unfortunately, I don't. I wouldn't even know where to start with that. I only started learning about photography about a year a go, maybe I should look into it.

I have recently entered a competition with one of my pics and the shortlist will be announced in September, so that will be interesting.

In fact, the background on my blackberry is a bright pink Phalenopsis on a black background :)

It was a gift for my GF.

In fact, the black background is a by product of the flash. It was actually taken in a room with white walls.

Fingers crossed for the competition. I might not hear back from them but you never know.
 
^ It would be awesome if you could explain how you set up the shots. So was it a bright flash? Bounded?? I'm curious!

Phalenopsis Orchids are now the most sold plant on Earth, it used to be a type of Syngonium. Fantastic flower, lasts so long. Much longer than a bunch of flowers... and if you have half a green thumb you can get it to flower again.
