Lung cancer or heart disease?

So, i've smoked bongs since the age of twelve, now thirty, I've pretty much committed myself to lung cancer at some point in my life. Would it be better to give up smoking and die a slow, painful death of lung cancer or just smoke myself into a quick, painful death via heart disease?

Dude if it that was true then i think more than half of Bluelight would die of lung cancer or a similar type of illness. Do u smoke ciggies too? I would have thought buds would be alot less harmful compared to smoking.

I know someone who has been smoking for almost 40 years with no signs of any illness but then again you never know what can bring it on. Id say it certainly can initiate cancer but so can alot of other things. Just like the poster above me saying life is too short to dwell on things. Just keep fit and healthy and look after urself.

If he smokes mix, it will have a pretty strong impact on your health. Smoking tobacco without the filter is pretty bad for you and ends up happening in joints and pipes a lot.

Every one seen the toilet paper bong trick? Put a piece of tissue or toilet paper over the mouth piece next time you have a bong and suck through it. You'll be pretty surprised at the amount of crap you are inhaling.

^ this old guy I know does that, I never actually thought to ask why or knew why.. til now..

Weed causes anxiety, as I'm sure you know. For me, I can rarely smoke (or vape) anymore as I freak out over my lungs and breathing regularly, even if I know damn well that the weed is causing the paranoia. Weed is probably the worst anxiety inducing drug I've ever tried, even more so than psychedelics and stimulants. It is especially bad if I'm indulging in weed too regularly.

LOL, fair in the same boat as you bit pattern. I have smoked marijuana and tobacco since 12 and have smoked fair meth among other things in that time as well. According to two GP's I have smoked myself into an asthmatic, a condition I did not have as little as 3 years ago.

I have a horrid respiratory system and smoking almost anything is fucking painful these days, despite this I continue to smoke quite large amounts of cannabis daily. Recently I decided that smoking more joints and hashpipes is more health conscious than bongs, because despite being less filtered you aren't inhaling ridiculous amounts at once. I am also pretty sure bongs contributed heavily to the supposed hernia I have.

To answer your question, I think you should minimise the pain and damage from smoking as much as possible if you were to be sick, while it is nice to think of a quick and easy death I am not sure that further lung irritation with terminal lung disease would qualify as that. Same time, if you accept as I have that smoking will inevitabely kill you if nothing else does first, I don't see a great deal of point in quitting smoking all together when it was clearly an activity you loved enough to die for. Maybe not the best HR advice, but what good is HR if one is truly terminally ill?
