It has been claimed recently that a drink or a few (not excessive) on ecstacy actually helps limit hyperthermia (overheating) although you would have to keep an extra eye on dehydration... Taking a drink before tripping on acid takes the edge off some anxiety for some people but I would seriously advise you to keep it under 3 drinks to not numb or blur the trip (its such a shame). If you drink more than like 2 it starts to get harder to control the trip which is not good if you don't have much experience yet.
Best is to take control over your mind and experience, then consciously letting go of that control giving way to freedom. It's not the same as going out of control unwillingly and or immediately.
Also the fact that you don't do things in moderation is of course not helpful. Maybe its better not to drink at all then when you trip, just to keep the boundaries clear. Tripping is seriously not something to do on a whim, be conscious about your intentions and be aware of yourself.
On ecstacy though, your inhibitions can go out the window and its much more plainly recreational so its more like getting wasted.
LSD is a powerful and meaningful experience in which your mind at its deepest begins manifesting itself. It can be beautiful but also difficult, so it demands your attention and respect. Try to remember that.
And no there is no long term damage to your body but if you treat it badly or have latent mental problems then it can definitely hurt you psychologically. You can become quite vulnerable so if you get in an unsafe environment or your behaviour becomes erratic (which is much easier when you drink) then you can build in stuff like anxiety into yourself which is a type of long term damage as well. So: face the problems that come up and deal with yourself, don't run away and let additional issues enter your mind. It can be therapeutic but also anti-therapeutic if you get what I'm saying.
