[LSD Subthread] First time LSD

Thanks for sharing, now I don't mean to rain on your parade but we don't really host threads for every short trip description so I'd be happy to either merge this into the Big & Dandy LSD Thread which is where the central discussion is OR... (and this is what I recommend and encourage)...
you edit it to add interpunction and preferably make it longer and I can send it over to the trip report section which is something we always appreciate a whole lot.
Also there is a subthread of the Big & Dandy LSD Thread which is the First Time LSD Thread, this would fit well there.
Anyway please choose an option. We typically stop asking when users go beyond greenlighter status. ;) But you can always PM a mod with questions or remarks.

@rocknroll702: you're entitled to your own opinion but if there even exists a difference between dirty acid and clean acid (as opposed to everything being acid but the SET and SETTING always being different), I myself would say that dirty acid would translate to physical side effects like tension rather than psychological effects.
 
First LSD trip

Hi bluelight.

I have 2 LSD blotters on ~50ug, I've had them lying around for some weeks now (haven't found a good time to try them yet) but I have some questions i hope you can help me with, I'm going to take both at the same time so I get a total dose on 100ug.

First of all, sleep, is it possible? If yes when? Because LSD has very long duration so dosing too late might be stupid if you want to get some sleep. (I really need my sleep!)
Second of all, appetite supression, does it kill your appetite? If yes, for how long?
How about pupil dilation, for how long does your pupils stay dialated?
Final question, visual activity, how much visual activity would 100ug produce? Minor? Moderate?

I have somewhat experience with tripping and I'm very good to enter the trip with a relaxed and easy mindset. I've never badtripped.
 
You cannot sleep until a little after the trip is over IME, which is about 12 hours.. And your pupils will be big that long as well. And you won't think about eating food. And youll get some pretty good visuals for first time 100ug. I took 300ug the first time and i was genuinely fooked up lol.
 
100ug is not a lot, to be totally honest. You said you had 50ug tabs, both have been laying around for a while. If not properly stored, I'm willing to bet they have lost a little bit of potency. Take both at the same time, and let them dissolve in you're mouth before you swallow the remains.

Sleep is fairly difficult when tripping. Since you are doing a small dose, I'd say you'll be able to sleep 10 - 12 hours after dosing. Personally, I think the best time to dose is within 2 hours of waking up, this way you have the entire day to feel the affects, and even after they disappear you'll have a nice afterglow till you fall asleep.

Pupils will be dilated for some time, expect them to be that way for a good 8 hours after dosing. As for visuals, don't expect too much. Personally, 100ug is enough to make things a little wavy, a little distorted, but nowhere near enough for me to feel like "Oh wow my vision, it's so wavy!". It's just a nice calming sensation.

Overall, don't expect too much. Have fun, though. Be prepared, because even at low doses LSD can be overwhelming for some. Just find a calm, comfortable place to take them and relax. Personally, I don't recommend tripping around a lot of people, or in public places, especially if you're new to LSD. Even if you've tripped before, say on Mushrooms or Mescaline, you still want to be in a setting you are comfortable in, because LSD is a different drug altogether and you never know how you might react. But again, 100ug is not a lot. But that's just me.

I agree that 100ug is really not much visually. A few friends purchased some tabs of very high quality (100ug) and being told they were high quality thought that would 1 would be enough. I ate 1 and experienced what I expected from a trip of that dosage they were a little disappointed thinking that 1 tab would be enough to get them "there". I prefer to take 200ug+.
 
1 will do ya but at 50ug that u def should take at least 2 -- in actuality id recommend 3 if u are brave enough to fry u should easily be able to handle a 150 however i know that the diff between 100 and 200 is extreme and easily 2 x the trip
 
LSD for the first time. Questions

Hi everyone Im 18 years old(have seen this site before and read info on it... thought now was the time to actually make an account lol) and have been thinking about taking acid for the first time for awhile now and yesterday I finally got some.I got 5 hits of acid on plain white blotter paper 2 for a friend and 2/3 for me. The only drugs i have used is weed and a few pills here and there. Just have a few question and I though the experience here could help me out.

The blotter paper is in a strip with little slits to finish the cuts of each hit. Do i just take 2/3 and let it sit on my tongue and for how long... or does it just dissolve?

Since this is my first time will it be ok to take 3? I know this is hard to answer and varries from person to person... but is it advised?

Were planning on taking it one night after work and were thinking about just sitting out on the back porch..(we usually smoke out back so its a pretty comfortable place) Is it advised to just sit around somewhere and chill out.. or should we go places?

How is the next day? or how is it for the majority because I have heard good and bad.


Any additional information or tips is greatly appreciated thanks alot for the help :)
 
We can't tell you how many tabs to take because you don't know how much acid is on your tab. You should probably just take one tab to see how strong it is before you have multiple tabs. Just hold it under your tongue for around 30 minutes then swallow the tab.
 
The first time I was doing it I received pretty strong tabs. Only took 1 and was really GLAD I didn't take more. In fact, even half a tab would have sufficed for me but it was enjoyable, just very intense :D

After few hours of tripping there will be some sort of comedown. But nothing depressing.

The next day after reasonable sleep you should feel very well, actually I even tend to have slightly improved mood some 5 days after taking.
 
Definitely do not take 2 or 3 tabs your first trip. It is ALWAYS better to start a low dose with any new drug, rather than start high and have a bad trip.

However, if you take one tab of the LSD and 4-5 hours later you aren't tripping very hard, you can take another.

The buccal method works best for blotters. Take one tab and put it between your upper gum and upper lip. Apply slight pressure with your upper mouth/lip to keep a little pressure on the tab that way it stays up there. Keep it in your mouth for at least 30 minutes (ideally until it dissolves in about an hour), then swallow the blotter and your saliva. Keep all the saliva in your mouth for as long as you hold the blotter in, swallow a little bit if you need to.

^No need to wait 6 hours. 2 should be more than enough. First effects should be felt under 40 minutes actually, 2 hours is peak.

Also the need to keep it in your mouth for half an hour is just another urban legend. I usually chew it for like 5 mins and swallow.
 
the difference between 1 and 2 can be HUGE. don't underestimate it. i'd take 1.5 to start with and see how you feel. it should be cool chilling out back. it doesn't matter what you do, acid makes life wonderful. you can go deep inside your head or you can go deep into space, or both at the same time. just try to stay away from electronics such as cell phones or television, because then you won't get to experience how amazing reality is. i've never found the comedown to be bad at all. for me it seems like the trip subsides and your left basking in an afterglow that can last weeks and make you really feel like a new person.

my advice would be to try to let yourself go as much as possible. don't think to yourself, "am i tripping? did i just see a line move across the wall? etc." just let things happen and don't try to control anything. if you question the experience, it makes it worse imo. weed is great and can put you on another world. also, if you feel like you're not tripping that hard after say, 2 hours, don't think that you won't be tripping fucking balls at 4 hours. it can take awhile to get up there, but once you are, you stay there for a pretty long time!

The full effects of LSD are reached within 3-6 hours (the plateau), so I would definitely not advise the OP to redose only after 2 hours. Play it safe, wait at LEAST 3 hours after you took the LSD to decide if you're going to redose or not. Especially since its his first time, he isn't going to know what the full effects are and wont know if its a strong trip by 2 hours, because he will still be coming up after 2 hours. Take it slow and easy, there is no rush.

If after about 4 hours you aren't tripping very hard, take another blotter if you want. I wouldn't advise taking more than 2 your first time. Would you rather have a pleasant, mild experience your first time, or a terrible, frightening trip your first time? Even if you have a more mellow trip your first time, you'll want to trip harder next time and you'll have an idea of what to expect. If you have a bad trip your first time, you might not be as willing to try and trip again because the previous experience was frightening. This is why it's always better to take it slow and easy your first time using any substance.
 
always start with one. if you don't like how your feeling and want it to hit you stronger, take another, and so on...you always want to be on the safe side. You can always take more but not less. Espcially your first time.
 
Like people said you should start with one and work your way up on following trips. One single trip will probably make you much more experienced on how to act on the second trip.

I recommend you to take it when you've got no obligations the day after. Usually the come down is really gentle, but in case it's DOx or comething else, you may still be tripping the next morning and we don't want you getting worried and paranoid about it. Just let yourself go with the trip with no worries and you'll have a great experience.
 
Just so you know we already have a First Time LSD thread, which this will be merged with once you've had the chance to reply.

If you're getting 3 that's perfect imo, as you can take 1 for your first time to gage the potency of the LSD, then if it's not enough, you have 2 for your next trip - and if it is enough, you have 2 trips left over for another time :)
 
And most importantly, have fun! But seriously, start with 1. When I lived in Miami Beach from 10-11, my friends got 10 hits of plain blotter. 1 whooped my fucking ass.
 
Thanks guys for all the replies. Also in the event that i do not take 3 hits and only 1 what is the best way to store the others for another time. Right now Its sitting in my room wrapped in a page torn out of a magazine in a mason jar.
 
put em in tinfoil and in a room temperature place. Theyll be fine

and perhaps the most important advice in this thread was the bit about not having any committments that day. You want to be able to just do whatever comes to mind. Having to do actually important things just kills my high. And dont drive. Ive been on the road in a race against the clock before I started tripping it wasnt fun (long story)
 
crope, there are a lot of variables to LSD. First and most importantly, is your body's physical reaction to it. Some people will trip balls from the same dose as some one who just gets a body buzz. Some people never "TRIP" but always get a buzzy, body loaded, very thought-heavy feeling with little visuals. There is a lot to it. Just try a hit, and if you feel comfortable with the strong body buzz and desire more, wait, and take another hit (not both.) Do some reading about LSD and its effects. You have much to learn, young grasshopper.
