Hi everyone just want to add some data to the longstanding internet debate about how quickly blotter lsd degrades. Yesterday I consumed two cheshire cat tabs that I acquired in May 2009 - they were in the LSD discussion thread of the time (I have always had fresher stuff since then so never got around to having them).

They have been in a plastic baggie in the middle of a thick text book in my cupboard at room temperature. My room gets quite warm in summer.

I tripped on one rainbow cloud on wednesday then had the 2 cheshires on saturday so I probably had some tolerance and I still got a nice mild trip from the two cheshires. Subtle visuals which increased to light but enjoyable with nitrous added and a nice free-flowing headspace.

From memory the cheshires (which were actually my first ever acid trip) were decent but not particularly strong so two were probably at least half as strong as one back then which is 75% degredation but that doesnt take into account tolerance which may have been substantial.

I once found a tab leftover from a sheet that was probably about 6-8 months old at the bottom of my bag, completely unsealed and had been exposed to the hot sun and humidity of Brisbane summer. I dosed it not expecting anything at all and was pleasantly surprised, I would say it was almost identical to the trips of the same sheet I had consumed earlier in the year. However another time I consumed one (of a different batch) that had been sealed in darkness for about the same time period, and was extremely underwhelmed, so go figure?

Also happy bicycle day everyone :) With luck I will be honouring Dr Hofmann today or later this week.

Be, ah. be real careful with washouts. As a rule of thumb, assume that there will be between ten to fifteen effective doses in there. Start low, then work upwards.
 
^^ I would love to hear some of people's experiences with "wash outs". I don't really even know what one is but assume it has something to do with washing out a liquid vial that previously contained LSD.

Considering that you get around 10-15 does of liquid I expect that the trips must be full on extreme?

So how many hours tripping would an average wash out leave you ballsed for?

The process is usually performed by popping the cap off a vial and swirling a few drops of vodka or everclear, or a similiar clean strong neutral spirit, then consuming. They can be incredibly mild - one or two drop's worth, or they can be balls to the wall extreme. It's incredibly unpredictable and should never be attempted in an uncontrolled circumstance.
 
It will be one of the few times I will really want a trip sitter. The little lady has already been told she is not coming for the ride. As much as she is a solid partner in crime, I do play point man during a lot of our adventures. I don't really have the time to commit to this just yet but I hope to use it for good not evil if you know what I mean. I have seen one or two go pear shaped at doof of all places and for me it is something best repected. If I'm lucky it is a couple of doses, at worse I end up naked in my neighbours swimming pool talking to their avacado tree.

We used to play it on a large screen tv with the sound off and play Shprongle Live in Elat desert over the top. Its the perfect visual and audio company for a trip in a house with mates. Add beers, a bong and of course nangs and your set.

Sorry if this is slightly off topic but I was planning on buying a few drops of liqqy for the upcoming uni holidays party season. Would it be okay to put the drops in the water bottles and store them in the fridge. Keeping in mind I'll probably only keep them there for a couple of weeks.

While distilled water may be fine for storage, LSD will degrade in impure water, especially tap water containing chlorine and other nasties...

Buy some vodka (or any strong clear spirit) and put the doses into that. Stored in an air tight container, the LSD will be safe from degradation for a long time. I used to dissolve 1 drop per 5ml of vodka if I had no other option for storage. The ratio is up to you, just don't forget it ;). A 5ml medicine syringe is great for accurate dosing once the LSD liq has been re-suspended in more liquid.

Once the liqqy is dropped onto a medium such as paper or sugar, it will usually degrade pretty fast. You can store sugar cubes, wrapped in foil, inside a jar full off desiccant and placed into the freezer but, it's best to keep it as a liquid IMO

Treat this unstable compound with respect and you will always get the best effects.

I have been doing 3-4 strong tabs every Saturday night for the past 5 weeks running....

It's just way too much fun not too do and i've had some of the best nights of my life :)

i'm downing around 2 bottles of wine with every trip and I know how much that dulls the affects but it makes me more social as everytime I have been venturing into Melb CBD and going into clubs with good electro.

Hmmmm just afraid sooner or later it will loose novelty and the magic will go :(

^^ I was doing the same for awhile from about OCtober 2010 - until Jan 2011, about 2 tabs/drops per week sometimes skipping a week and didn't notice any bad effects and I also usually drink about half a bottle of vodka in shots slowly through out the trip as I find especially on the come up it keeps me in the right frame of mind.

I don't get drunk and I drink a lot anyways so it is just keeping me in my usual frame of mind.

Then in February I did something really stupid and decided not to take any more acid for a couple of months cause I felt I didn't derserve the high and had been abusing it. Then in April after I had forgiven myself I had another trip of 2 drops liquid (same stuff as I was using before) and had a much more classic insightful trip and realised that taking it every weekends over a decent period of time didn't cause me any bad effects but it definitley was getting more usual and old.

HOwever I did not realise this until I took it again after a break.

Now I'm trying to keep it to once a month max, to keep the insight to the trips.

Now I have got some microdots for the first time and have known about them for years but since getting them I have become really interested in them and had soem questions for people how know or have had them before.

1) Are the dots pure lsd? cause they are tiny and could be like 5 - 50 trips a dot, so i'm guessing if that were true?

2) If not how are made ? as they look to small to have liquid dropped on them?

I had a similar experience to you in regards to over-use of LSD. For many years in my teens, I only had access to it every few weeks or more. In later years I came across easily accessible liquid, microdots and tabs. I used it most weeks, sometimes more than once a week for a bit longer than you. I think I missed about 6 weeks out of 3+ years, mainly because I was camping on a mushroom expedition and not because I didn't have access to lucy :\

It wasn't until I took a break of about 3 months (after a horror MDPV/2-C-I/LSD trip) that I realized how special this substance was when used less frequently. I still had fun most times when I tripped weekly, make that loads of fun but, the insightful trips were few and far between. I only really had insightful trips when I mixed a (large) range of RC's with LSD and even then, there was something missing.

After my 3 month break, I stepped back up to the plate and took only 2 drops of decent liquid and was in absolute bliss! It reminded me of my first decent LSD trips, full of insight, creativity and intrigue.

While it may be fun to take this substance on a weekly basis, you definitely lose the magic. I also recommend not using it more than once a month and minimum of once every 2 weeks. Even then you can definitely lose the magic and some may run into psychological issues.

During my massive psych binge I became 'detached' from reality to a certain degree and had serious trouble focusing during conversations and such. I was lucky that this didn't really affect my line of work, as, I never had to deal with people for the most part and those who I did deal with, knew of me as a bit of a tripper surfy/musician ;) It did lead to some awkward social situations though. Some friends of mine who had to deal with people on a daily basis ended up losing their jobs after suffering similar side effects from the abuse of psychs.

I thank my use of psychedelics, as heavy as it was at times, for making me who I am today. Without them, I doubt I would have had anywhere near the colourful life that I have had, nor the wisdom or creativity that they have instilled in me.

As for the microdots SpiritFolk, they are commonly a tiny spec of LSD with a coating such as wax to stop it from degrading. The 'tablet type' microdots are a mixture of a tiny amount of LSD and binder to form a pill. I have also heard of small pills being 'dropped' with liqqy but doubt it is a common practice and maybe used for non-mass production dots. The tablets tend to degrade over a period of months from personal experience, I guess this is because the wax coating would help to keep out the nastys that degrade LSD. The tablets being permeable would allow them to degrade in the same way that blotter does. The coated microdots are usually very 'clean' because the LSD has not degraded. I have found microdots in my home that have been exposed to the air for 2 years and they were still as potent as the day I got them. I hear the hundreds and thousands are good, although not as potent as the stars. Enjoy!

I have experienced this kind of lack of concentration in the past month from what I believe was more psyche use than needed. Thankfully it is passing from laying of the CID.

So basically dots are a way of stopping the degradation and thus producing the clean stronger effects I hear off. Makes sense really especially if your sourcing of someone who might not care that much about quality or doesn't take LSD

Can't imagine what my life would be like if I'd never had the joy of experiencing psychs.
 
I can't imagine what my life would be like if I ever had the chance to experience acid again, or any other psychedelics :( I kid you not, I have the worst luck imaginable when it comes to 'almost' scoring acid from people who have tried it plenty of times before. I did once ...two years ago, but since then, maybe 15 times I've been close to getting it and something happens and I'm left disappointed :( and those 15 times are with at least 5 different connections, all unrelated but no-one can get me acid.

Sustanon Yeah drinking blunts out this magic edge that LSD has ... Okay tonight i'll skip the booze minus one or two beers and hit the town! :D

It's just too much fun not to do ... and I always carry some benzos in my back pocket incase things trun pear shaped when venturing into the city. In 8 years and more than 100 trips easily I have never once had a bad one.

But the Benzos in my back pocket are piece of mind.
