LSD and mushrooms worth the flashbacks/HPPD?

Does it ever affect you guys while driving?

LOL they don't come in "attacks" like you may be thinking, it's just if you stare at something patterned in the first place your vision doesnt stay still, your blind spot may exaggerate a bulge in the pattern then one may chase that bulge as if it were an eye "floater".

Human perception is not solid, there is all kinds of noise going on anyhow in the visual field and most sports/activities that might need visual importance are usually based more on reaction time rather than clear and perfect unmoving vision.

Golf might be difficult for someone with HPPD since they need to gauge a still target with moving vision but driving not so much since one should still be fine with distance perception, turning, and avoiding large moving obstacles.

On top of HPPD I recently have diagnosed myself as farsighted where I get double vision when I look at something like a face or to much text up close, I doubt this has much to do with psychedelic drug use and likely alot more with playing eye games as a child and staring at screens with poor posture far beyond the level of tiredness than I should be at.

I've abused acid to hell and back, mushrooms a wee bit as well, never once experienced a flashback and the only thing even at all related to HPPD I have experienced is keeping the insight / perspectives / mind-fuck close-by ever since that period of my life. Which is nothing even close to HPPD, in reality. Especially so because most of this I could choose to put in my past if I desired.

A large portion of my circle of friends has behaved the same way in some point of their lives, and out of many, only 1 or 2 (that I know of) has experienced flashbacks and/or symptoms of HPPD.

You'll most likely be fine. If you feel like theres any chance you may have an underlying or partially underlying psychological condition (bipolar, shizophrenia, severe depression, severe anxiety, etc), be extra cautious if you decide to tread into this territory. Psychedelic Drugs are know to speed up the onset of such conditions.

alot less than 5% get HPPD.Probably less than 0.5% from my experience.

If you are smart, you practicly cant get bad trip or hppd.If you are stupid and full of propaganda bullshit, then I can see how you problems with halucinogens. My advice is drop it and dont worry,if you go insane, thats bad but you will go insane year or two later without acid too.If you are smart and have right info, then you CANT get HPPD or long lasting negative effects.I was on such epic dose trips and alot bad shit happened but I ended fine everytime. But if I didnt have knowledge that after I wake up I will be normal aggain I think I will be fucked thats truth.

If you continue to worry about this and that and whatever, dont take psychedelics.

Ive had a flashback once and it was a positive one, and the chances of having them are minimal - unless you have a really traumatizing trip (flashbacks are supposed to be a form of PTSD in this case) - and HPPD - well, I've heard of ONE person out of my circle of friends who had this...I've not met him, mind - so you see the odss are NOT against you.

The only flashbacks I have, are horrible, debilitating episodes that take me back to the DP/DR episodes I had when I was younger. My world does a sort of WHOOOOOSH, and flips on its head, and I feel stoned and surreal at the same time. Sometimes I'll feel sharp pains or sensations as well.

They usually occur when I'm exercising.

i don't recommend using strong drugs like psychedelics at the age of 14. This is not a matter of things like HPPD or flashbacks. but rather your brain is still developing and using strong drugs may have a deterimental effect on its development. Though i don't have source for this, but abuse of drugs like LSD and stimulants (like meth and coke) can put you at a greater risk of developing mental illness later in life. One of the big ones being schizophrenia. Also, it could impair development of problem solving skills or other skills.

i would say wait until your in your early 20s if you want to experiment with these type of drugs. they will still be around, and you will have a better appreciation of the effects (the fun ones) and the potential detrimental effects. If I could be your age again I would be out chasing girls at highschool.

Some of the people I knew who started doing harder drugs at your age are not doing to well now. can't hold down a job, burnt out, or in and out of psychiatric institutions. Others are alright. Its like playing russian roulette a bit when you are young. You have your whole life to trip and experience these things. No harm in waiting a few years.

I'd say, you really should not start taking psychedelics at such a young age. Wait until you're older. I don't think it's psychologically healthy to be taking strong drugs when you're still at such a point in your development.

My advice is no pot or booze before 16, nothing else before 18...

lol...

at 9 i broke the "no weed and booze" rule, at 13 i was addicted to blow and taking ludes to come down(as well as losing my virginity) and at 15 i tried LSD, ecstasy, and PCP, and by the time i was 16 i was shooting speedballs.

and i turned out just fine...

having (unintentionally) had to drive on acid before, the static etc. has never given me any trouble.

forgot to mention last time i only get it between maybes the 2nd and 6th week after a trip

I've taken LSD and mushrooms a number of times and have yet to have a proper flashback (Kind of disappointing really). I've had a few mental type (no hallucinations as such) flashbacks to recent 2C-P experiences, though these wouldn't have affected my ability to perform tasks - more just exploring mental loops experienced in the trip etc.

I have however, had an episode of HPPD (though manifested itself more during times of sleep) associated with a bad LSD trip (though on reflection it was more that it was overwhelmingly strong). An SSRI eliminated any HPPD I had nearly overnight.

Ive taken LSD, Shrooms, Dragonfly, 2-cb; so far no flashbacks or HPPD. I have a friend tho who got some HPPD but i think its gone now. In the end this is a decision you have to make yourself; theres always a risk with everything. I will not advocate any drugs or psychedelics to you, but then again if you dont take any risks youll never get anywhere ;)

Only drug that brought me flashbacks, or more specifically, brought out suppressed memories for me was Datura... and to this day I have a trippy memory - in a good way though not that it is weak.

LSD and mushrooms never caused flashbacks for me, but it may be because I tried them years after the Datura and was kind of used to being in a bat-shit-insane mindset and coming back to reality... Granted my first mushroom dose didn't affect me very much - in my mind I imagined "Hallucinogen" to be similar to my Datura OD... but mush and lsd is much more enjoyable, infact get the fuck away from Datura if you ever see any you never know where it will take you, could be hell

Don't worry about those risks as it is a small minority...
I've read our eyes have 80% of our field of vision cut-off because if we percieved all the movements they picked up we would probably not be able to handle it
I take the static as enhanced vision.. plus my peripheral vision has increased tremendously... (Can focus on things while not directly looking at them as well as twist a single eye to see in front and beside me, though that is kinda freaky)

HPPD is only a disorder to those 5% or whatever that statistic says... but that is probably because it really is a disorder to that 5%, the rest don't see it as an issue...

I have had mushrooms and never had HPPD. I want it though. Takend a lot of 2CE as well. None from either.

To be honest, yes. Ive had hppd experiences relatively regularly but usually more so around mushroom season etc. For example, every light source has a rainbow halo around it. This happens for a few days and up to a week or so if i have a strong as trip. Besides small things like these, there is no problem. I believe the slight visual effects are more so just slight amounts of the drug still lingering in your blood?

Eitherway, i kind of like it :)

are they worth it? probably not, if you have to ask this question :)

personally ive had luck and had no such troubles yet, except an increased love of life and music. but i wouldnt want to have any (supposedly) permanent brain damage as a result, i couldnt see myself functioning like that, either in my social life or my professional career. so i do what i can that i suppose decreases the risk (moderation, low(er) doses, healthy living).

that being said, i dont regret any trip ive had so far. i feel like ive learnt from each, even the failed ones.

If you are not sure if you want to take it or not and are so apprehensive, I would suggest waiting until you are comfortable with taking it. Whether thats in a month or 2 years.

I have had a little more then 20 experiences with Shrooms (one or 2 being at 15 yrs old) LSD, DMT, DXM, MDXX, and Salvia. I have had no signs of HPPD and the only "flashback" I experienced felt like a flashback to an experience with MDXX.

I was just finished explaining the roll I had a few nights ago to my friend and continued thinking about it to myself. I began feeling the body euphoria and for a minute or so I became overwhelmed with this feeling, like I was just coming up on a roll! This quickly subsided but thats the only flashback I've had, if you would consider it a flashback. I think this could have been triggered by a song that came on that I listned to during the roll, and I enjoyed this song very much during the roll.
