Half of you people are goddamn dumb
Lopermide WILL cross the BBB if the dose is high enough. Also, with cimetidine or WGFJ it is greatly potentiated.
I know a guy who parachutes a few grams of pepper (for piperidine) before taking loperamide for a ligh opiate high. he drinks fresca as well but just cause he likes it, not for any grapefruit juice contents.. there are some people on drugs-forum who swear by it too. personally iv never done it but if you are not opiate tolerant I have a hard time believing it doesn't work.. there are also video on youtube of people using diphenhydramine, grapefruit juice and literally A HUNDRED caps of generic loperamide (not immodium brand) for severe fentanyl and 100mg plus daily oxy withdrawals.
dunno if this was mentioned before, hope it helps (I didn't read the whole thread)
I saw some of those video's too last time I was withdrawing and looking online for help. It seems to work for the people who try it but there's no way I would do it. I was bulimic for 11 years (age 11-22...I'm 6 months into recovery now) so have IBS and other digestive issues. I also have severe chronic pancreatitis which causes digestive issues. For me it just isn't worth risking further damage to my digestive system.
I wouldn't cold turkey alone (with or without loperamide) at all, to be honest. I'm on 200-300mg oxycodone a day (sometimes I wear a fentanyl patch and take 150-200mg instead; sometimes I take morphine sulphate on top of the 200-300mg, so it varies a lot) plus 480mg codeine, 200mg promethazine and 1.5mg alprazolam a day.
My doctor told me that going cold turkey could kill me no matter what OTC products I took to help.
If you're in full-blown opiate withdrawal I'd take loperamide for the diarrhea and stomach cramps but GET YOURSELF TO THE HOSPITAL.
Sorry, I got side-tracked there.
So is there any proof that loperamide alone can give you a strong opiate high? Gotta say, I call bullshit.
This is not true, you need other things like quinine and GFJ to get it to cross. it doesn't matter the dose
Did your doctor tell you this because of your digestive issues, because the average opiate addict doesn't have to go to the hospital for withdrawals.I saw some of those video's too last time I was withdrawing and looking online for help. Loperamide is all about dosing. I've never really bothered to take it with the enhancers, as they taste so bad, but I still get the effects if I take enough. I think it's mostly legal because of ignorance that taking enough can substitute opiates, and of how much to take.
Even most long-term opiate addicts don't seem to know, and I don't see that changing as the amount you need is just too much or more than most would be willing to take.
A few times I've had two bottles of 200 2 mgs which I finished in about 6 days and would take upto 80 pills a day. The effect is very noticable, though it's not as much of a "high", more like being just above neutral and feeling content with no cravings. You kind of forget about drugs, as you have no need for it.
So it's pretty useful. I guess it also depends what you compare it to. It can get you just as high, or more high, than benzos, but it's a bit crap compared to other opiates. Lowdose Codeine would be a good description.
ANYWAY, it's definitely not healthy for you to be taking that amount of pills. Even if the opiate-level doesn't get very high the fillers and other things in the pills are definitely not good for you in that kind of volume, and I think you're taking a risk with your health. I was feeling nauseous, with stomach cramps, and at the end my eyesight started getting screwed up.
So I was very poisened and it was bad enough for me to have no cravings for it. I think they probably put something in the pills to discourage that kind of abuse, that makes you feel uncomfortable and is harmful to your health. So it's not for longterm use (in those doses) but can be fine as an occasional thing. If I was having bad cravings or withdrawals for a few days I wouldn't be opposed to doing it.
There's something that stops me from even ordering it, though, like just the thought of it makes me feel sick. But using it in that kind of amount is basically an overdose, and I don't think your body is too keen to repeat it. Even if your mind wants it, it's just a bit too much for your body. I seem to almost suppress how well it works so I won't go back to it.
Yes. It works well for cravings and withdrawals but is not really something you'll be tempted to use regularly (or even able to). So I can't really see it being banned.
Yea ive been experimenting with it. First time I ate a hand full of black pepper with about 40 mg lopermide and i felt it. Yesterday I tried it with tagamat antacid and a bottle of tonic water but then I learned you have to take prilosec not tag. Nothing happened. Today I did the black pepper and about 70 mg and yes I feel it. Im very relaxed and at ease and a little drowsy so yea it does work. The pepper helps the lope get through the BBB.
eating the black pepper isnt bad. I just chase it down fast with a soda. Swallowing 25 pills is worse especially since i do them all at once. The black pepper tends to stick all over my face though so if ya do it make sure you wipe your face off or people will look at you funny. I read somewhere this method wont work two days in a row and it doesnt. I didnt get constipated but I didnt use the bathroom everyday either. Anyways my experiment is done. This isnt something to make a habit of but I will remember it for the future if I am in opiate withdrawal or even if im just way to anxious and need to calm down a bit then I now know I can use pepper and lope to get me close to nodding status.
