Long term Cannabis effects on brain

The thing is....people ARE out to get you when you smoke pot. The police, other authority figures, sometimes your teachers or even your family....otheer concerned citizens....they just sit around and judge people if not arrest them. That isnt a paranoid delusion, that is an accurate depiction of reality!

So, while people who smoke might be a little hyper sensitive, assume people have them figurted out when in fact they either dont or merely suspect....is that really a sign of mental illness, or is at a more or less accurate depiction of what is really going on?

Just because your paranoid dont mean they are not after you...right? Those cops will arrest you, depending on your city/state. People really ARE out to get you when you smoke. Maybe that isnt a sign of mental illness but it still tipped the scales on the test as if it was.

^These "links" that have been scientifically proven are only semantic representations of a complex and eratically interconnected relationship between substance use/abuse and long term mental illness. The difference lies in causation. There are 0 reputable studies that prove cannabis, LSD or any other psychedelic (from heavy daily consumption of hash brownies to long-term intravenous DMT usage) causes chronic mental illness. I'm depressed after coming down from a multiple gram session of purple hazing..but you know what? That's merely a substance induced depression..You can not trip yourself into mental illness.

People who have schizophrenia might be more attracted to cannabis. This might be why the incidence of psychotic illnesses is higher amongst cannabis users. They haven't managed to prove a causal relationship and even if it does cause psychosis/schizophrenia, the odds of actually getting it are extremely small. Like I've said, if the risk of getting psychosis is 0.1%, even at smoking weed at a young age constantly every day triples triples the risk, that risk is still only 0.3%, so we need to get this all into perspective. There are more significant dangers posed to you than the risk of suffering from psychosis as a cannabis smoker. If you don't smoke as a youngster or smoke constantly from dawn to dusk then the risk cannabis will actively cause psychosis is quite miniscule.

CBD cannabinoid in weed has been shown to have antipsychotic properties so smoking high CBD strains will reduce the already minute risk, or perhaps even negate it completely.

I think the risks caused by every day mundane aspects of your life should be payed more attention, such as high saturated fat, sugar, tobacco and alcohol intake and putting more effort into having an active lifestyle.

In short the risk of cannabis-induced psychosis is a bit of a red herring. It's importance has been exaggerated /lied about by the government propaganda machine who use misleading and poor research when there are greater issues we need to be aware of in life. So relax, and hit that shit ;)

Am I making any sense?

Thanks for the information guys , yea i knew it wasn't a neurotoxic (damaging) drug for your brain. It only alters it until you decide to quit, where your brain slowly reverses itself. But although it doesn't damage your brain heavy constant use puts you in such a clouded negative mind set which can only do bad. And thats what tends to happen to most heavy users of potent bud, so yea it has flaws but minor ones. It was my dumbass fault for accepting all these seshes with friends on week days which turned into a heavy daily routine for years. I found virtually nothing negative at all when i was smoking once or twice a week and actually found my self more motivated in school so i could have fun on the week ends.

As a medicine, it can definitely be abused. It wont kill brain cells, but it can temporary shock them. You are not necessarily at your finest when you are blitzed out of your mind.

I think that only tiny amounts of sativa in the AM, and maybe some heavier Indica if you have pain or before sleep....thats about the extent of it for me. I dont get 'baked' when I have stuff to do.

Yes, It can definitely be over used to your detriment, but not in the BS ways that the propaganda campaigns tell you that it will.

man i can't wait till school is done so i can smoke my head off again thanks guys!

Wtf. I think your confusing mj with another drug.

I think if you only use mj and no other drug ever through out , there might be little to non effects. mj is very harmless, but if you add in the mix. E. Meth. Amps. Coke. Lsd . Shrooms. and all the weird SHIT ppl put in their brains and body you'll see some bad effects come into place . That is what causes psycosis and mental illness NOT MJ. .

Very ill informed thing to say.

wow....just wow. So somebodys own personal experience on why he quit smoking weed (because of bad interactions) makes him ill informed?? I guess listening to your body is so ill informed! lol

comeback time!
