hey guys

im a year round steroid user and I was wondering on psychedelics effects on the heart and liver?

these compounds im more likely to use :

2c family
mushrooms
DMT

:?

2c-x compounds can cause a general stimulant effect, so increased heart rate, as well can mushrooms and DMT but probably to a lesser degree.
However if panic or anxiety arise in your trip it can cause your heart rate to increase fairly drastically, especially if you end up having a heart attack.
As far as effects on the liver there are none which I know of for 2c-x and basic common tryptamines

I have a gram of 2c-b on order so im getting prepared to enjoy these things without too much conscious thinking when the time comes

Probably those psychedelics are a LOT less taxing on the liver than 17aa steroids (if I got that right). Personally I have used all sorts of things in my life and am now taking milk thistle and NAC for a while just to be sure, and help restore those poor vital organs. ;)

I must admit I haven't really researched it. Other than outright liver damage, killing liver cells, cirrhosis and shit like that I guess there are other things that can happen. My liver enzymes are apparently hyperactive when I was occasionally tested as part of unrelated studies. Medical peeps were indeed surprised by that but not worried. We must realize that the liver is not simple, it is a cauldron full of all sorts of enzymes and cells and functionalities and besides damage I imagine those functions can go all sorts of crazy.

^ I've been reading a lot about gut flora recently, and their importance on the digestive system / liver. (They do so many other things too, it's crazy.) Apparently psychs like mushrooms can cause some dysbiosis in the small intestine. I wondered why when I took a strong probiotic recently that my sleep improved, and it's because most of our serotonin originates in the gut, some of those flora facilitate the tryptophan ---> serotonin process, which of course relates to endogenous melatonin. Liver function is also part of what the flora do.

DMT is too short acting to matter. Mushrooms actually have a cleansing effect on the lymphatic system, but if you're a slow metabolizer (i.e. you stay high for way longer than other people), then I'd take less if you're concerned about toxicity / nervous effects. The only one on that list that is "stimulant" enough to maybe affect the heart is the 2c group of psychs, and only because they are sympathomimmetic and not true stimulants.

yep 17-aa that pass through liver

I run a mild-aggressive liver aid protocol so id probably bump it up whist running the 2c group

I have a cache of benzos on hand and will use as needed if things get too elevated whist dropping an asprin here and there for blood flow

my next thread idea is:

is there any trippers that are into the bodybuilding lifestyle?

fitness is #1 priority to me as well as eating clean, hopefully I wont lose this perspective and lose focus lol I get depressed when fat and out of shape!

2C compounds should be essentially benign towards the liver, the only time I can imagine them causing damage is if you went seriously hyperthermic for a long time (unlikely even at rather high doses).

Mushrooms and DMT are essentially nonhepatotoxic as well. Just be sure you have psilocybin containing shrooms and not Amanita phalloides.
