I don't really like 1c strobes and I feel like 3c strobes can be too much so I usually just use 2c strobes.

2c are good for slower more technical imo, i personally am not a fan lf breaks in my tracers. I had a few differant 2c's and i thot they were dimmer than the 3c strobes. 1 c strobes i noticed were also much dimmer than 3c.
Im sure you use your 2c's fantastic, its really personal preferance. I'd watch no questions asked.

Awesome vid thizzlam. I like it because you can actually watch what hes doing with his hands, not just lights in the dark.

+5 internets for you ;)

lightshows for beginners

So i recently discovered that i am AMAZED with lightshows, and would like to learn how to give em, but i have NO idea where to start and would like help from anyone whos experienced with em. heres my questions-

- should i buy a crappy pair of gloves to start with? or not even use legit gloves til im ready to do them publicly?

- do i just go with the music? or make up random moves on my own?

fyi im not one of those people whos 'doing it to be cool':p im really into this and i plan on putting alot of time into it:\

any help and/or tips would be appreciated! thanks

It's alot of fun even without drugs and you'll find yourself practicing all the time. I suggest you:
1. Buy a set of either gluvmaxs or micromaxs. They both do the same things except gluvmaxs are cheaper and a little bigger.
2. Always try to flow with the music
3. Feel free to buy a pre made set but I would advise just choose a couple colors(like Blue, White, and Green etc) then make a set around those colors. Some people like to have like a billion different colors but I don't like sets like that. Its all just preference.
4. Try and make your own moves, just practice in a mirror doing things that you think might look cool.
5. Use youtube. It's is full of helpful tutorials.

I would recommend buying from either,
http://www.emazinglights.com/
http://www.ledkid.com/
http://www.coin-pro-vending.com/ (I have yet to buy from them but I've heard good reviews, they've got great prices, and its where most stores buy their products)

Oh and here are some nice tutorials to start off with
Finger rolls
Figure 8
Tutting
Stacking

invest in good gloves. TRUST ME!. youtube videos all day. just learn simple moves like figure 8s, finger rolls, and stacks and just watch vids on how people connect moves etc etc. Start off simple and eventually, you'll get better/figure out how to do more difficult moves w/ LOTS of practice.
