hopefully ill get a vid up here soon..
i just bought two micromax lights. So much better then inova. They have tons of different bulbs and modes, attachable plastic defusers and are wayyy smaller which makes it way easier to do more technical moves.
If anyone is looking to buy 4 RGB inovas PM me. I'm trying to get rid of them so i can switch to micros!!

i have to disagree. the micromax ones are good but the inovas are virtually un-breakable and about 2 times as bright as the micromax. they come with diffusers because the bulbs wont trail fat enough. the inovas do this already but if you really want to get rid of them ill take them

edit:not to mention the amazing battery life of inovas

truth!!!! Inovas are almost indestructable! Thats the #1 quality i looke for. Diffusers make dots bigger its a new look thats real popular now. Inovas are #1! if your not sponsored i suggest them because you wont be getting free lights to wear a teeshirt like the pro's who r using them. and alll other lights just break IME.

my current set has gluvmax lights with diffusers which are nice but they are no inovas

i guess from reading all this, ill keep the iNovas :)
Still gonna switch over though. I don't see the light/trail difference all that much...
i'll still melt yo' face either way!

Micromax>Inovas
I first started with inovas almost a year ago and recently switched to micromax around 1 1/2 month ago and I love the micromaxes. 0 problems with the ones i got (bwg/pbg7color strobes) have premium diffusers that give them a sexy look. They are durable, even though they are not as bright as the inovas and do not have as long of a battery life as inovas.
The advantages of the micromax though are being able to add different types of diffusers which gives the light a unique look that the shape of the inova just can't give. And if you are using strobes having one mode micromax's are much easier to use during lightshows, due to the tiny size of the micromax.

i guess its just preference really. i like the feel of a full set of inovas a lot. but my gluvmax are just oh so fun. the diffusers definitely do make a difference. i switch mine up i use some closed and some open diffusers

Personally, I like size of micromaxes, and not much else...
I get the idea of diffusers and theyre ok...but I mean, the gloves diffuse the light already.. Ya dig?

Inovas are my least favorite light just because they're so much bigger than any other light. They just get in my way and it make it really hard to hide the light that you don't want seen.

you just have to be super skilled in hiding :p
just kidding the novas really do make this tougher. i wish my roommate would get home so i could upload my video

Its really not that hard....I'm not even that good and I can hide my lights...but that could just be due to the fact that my hands are friggin huge.

Yea but the problem with bigger hands its that I can't find gloves that fit right :\

Ugh nooo one of my micromaxes are having trouble turning on and off. I have to click it like 5 - 10 times to find that sweet spot where it will turn on. I just wish the casing was built from a harder plastic.

I've only clicked my micromaxes 20 times, this sux :(.

There is a considerable difference with and w/o diffusers comparing them to the glove diffusing the light is no where near accurate. When you see them in person with no diffuser, open, closed, premium caps in/outside gloves there is a noticable difference in each.

I want to learn how to shuffle and give lightshows by New Years. Any good gloving tutorials? I've been working on basic finger rolls, but not sure how I should learn more, and if learning some moves before others will make it easier.

^ I suggest checking out the site http://www.throwlights.com it is a forum for lightshows and only lightshows :) lots of tips and tricks that will help you out

Im aware. I just think that the glove does a fine job of diffusing the light. Especially if you're using frosted bulbs. Going away from novas just to get diffusers just isn't a big enough incentive to me.

Indestructibility trumps all IMO.

Agree with you on the frosted part, I moved away from inovas to get diffusers, and smaller sized lights. I agree with you that inovas are indestructible, however micromax lights are pretty durable themselves.
