what was wrong with the estrella damm, wiggi?

man, i wish i could remember the name of this pumpkin beer i had about a month ago, shit was fucking gross! i could go for a newcastle brown ale or some kind of dogfish IPA right about now.
 
If you love brown ales you should try Moose Drool. I've mentioned it here before and I think someone else had tried it as well. It's from Montana I think, but I'm sure it's not that hard to get.
 
Yeah I've actually had moose drool, it's pretty tasty. I don't see it in stores too often (maybe it's around a lot I just never think to look for it) but yeah it's a good one. I should buy it more often

I've only had it the one time and that was before I really discovered brown ales, so I need to try it again to see if I really liked it for its taste, or if it was just because I was new to brown ales and it was just a lot better than the light beers I was drinking in college at the time.

Thank you for reminding me about that. I used to have that a lot when I worked at this Italian place, and I used to drink it at this other Italian place around here. Well I'm going there soon and the person I'm going with doesn't like wine and I was definitely planning on getting buzzed there, so I'll just order some Peroni and problem solved.
 
I like the "Moose Drool" I also like the other one they make that's a straight IPA....For brown ales I like the one made by Ithaca brewing, I think it's just called "nutbrown"

My favorite lately is Sierra Nevada Torpedo, 7.4ABV...citrusy and piney...good price too
Also, New Belgium, Ranger IPA 6.5ABV
 
just found out a pub walking distance from my house has russian river brewery's pliny the elder on tap 80% of the time. Fuck yeah!!! Now if only I could find some pliny the younger...
 
I'm so sad this thread fell so far behind :(
