Let's Talk Craft Beer

Yeah we get Lagunitas here in CT, it's pretty good I like it. Also, I'd have to say that Torpedo is probably my favorite Sierra. I really like hoppy IPAs in general, they're probably what I would consider my favorite types of beers. I like many kinds for different occasions, but yeah if given the choice I will usually take the IPA. I can't remember if I've ever had anything from Bear Republic, if I see it I'll have to give it a shot

I've had Lagunitas a few times although it is not distributed in my state. A few years ago they stopped distributing Dogfish Head here, which was hard to swallow.

I am currently suffering a massive hangover due to good beer. It honestly hurts to sit up.

5 Budwesiers on the golf course > sixpoint resin > victory headwater > victory summer love > local black lager > pitchers of local ipa.

Uggggghhhhh.

I was up in northern Maine doing some white water rafting and the lodge had a microbrewery. The place was called "Northern Outdoors" and I tried their summer ale and a beer called "badger rye" and both were very good. I especially liked the rye, it was a darker beer but with some honey flavors. Most excellent.

Within the last 2 years or so I've really gotten into rye ales. I don't drink them very often I have to be in the mood but I always love trying them when I come across new ones, I don't think I've had a "bad" one yet

I might seek out some other ones to try, I really liked the one I had this weekend. I have never specifically sought out rye ales.

The other cool thing was that one of the white water guides was the brewmaster. He made all of the beers. Just so cool to me.

Yeah that sounds pretty cool, I love those small operations they're great. I remember when I was a kid we stayed in this little inn in northern NH (no clue where or what it was called) in the middle of nowhere in the mountains and the guy who owned/ran the place was also a tour guide and he and his wife ran the restaurant next door as well. I wouldn't be surprised if he made his own beer too

lso EVERYBODY that loves good beer, espeically IPAS needs to check out Bear Republic Brewery. West Coast knows whats good %)

Love some Bear Republic! Hop Rod Rye is one of my favorite beers; the best Rye Beer I've had thus far. Racer 5 IPA is pretty good as well.

Right now I'm sipping on some of Ohio's best: White Rajah by The Brew Kettle. Really smooth, fruity-hoppy American IPA. #10 on BeerAdvocate for the style. If you live in Ohio or close to the border, I would highly recommend picking some of this up.

As far as beer goes, I'm hooked on Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout (black out in a bottle), Otter Creek Black IPA and Stovepipe Porter, Wolavers Oatmeal Stout, Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA and Victory Hop Devil. I don't have any of these so I'm gonna crack the Brooklyn Monster Barley Wine Ale I have in my fridge. Mmm...10.1% ! Yum!

Had one by Harviestoun Brewery last night called "Old Engine Oil", it's a black ale. Normally I don't drink a lot of black ales but it was pretty good. I'd recommend at least trying it
