I know Hell or High Watermelon is available around here.

I am going to start experimenting by getting really drunk off various beers in cans when it warms up here so I don't end up going to Bonnaroo with a beer that I can't drink in hot weather. Last time I went, I woke up and started drinking for a good 12 hours straight, so having the proper alcohol is very important.

A friend of a friend of mine works at a local beer store and he got a case from his distributor just for laughs about two months ago. I could barely finish the can. It might very well be the worst beer in the world.

Well what was the beer? I have standards for my beer piss. I had a Full Sail IPA, and an Abita pecan last night, both are pretty easy drinking, Summer/Spring beers. I like both but some will find them a little light in the flavor department.
 
If you don't like Milwaukee's Best Ice then fuck you! I enjoy microbrews, IPA's, etc. Magic Hat Ourtoberfest is amazing. Coors in the bottle isn't bad and neither is Yeungling. But when I want to get fucked up I always get the beast.

Also I hate Bud\Bud light. King of beers my ass.
 
I never get drunk on beer, all it ensures is that I spend the entire night feeling like I have to pee and actually going to the bathroom like 100 times during the night. I save all my beer drinking for good beer only. It almost made me gag watching my boyfriend drink a budlight last night lol

lol i dont like the bud light ones, but i love the regular bud ones...i think they're damn tasty...and they do come in singles, but only tall boy singles
 
I got some Blue Moon Pale Moon today, which is a Belgian-Style Pale Ale. It was pretty good, but I could only drink one of them. It reminds me of an irish red, which I don't really care for, but I like it better than irish reds (well I have only tried Killians and one other). I was eyeing the Shock Top Raspberry Wheat but decided against it since a lot of the fruit beers aren't that good IMO.

I guess you have to have a special taste for them. The guy in one of the beer review videos that I stumbled upon said that the regular one was worse than the light one, but both were horrible in his opinion. Here is the video, and you can skip to 7:43 for his review on the Budweiser Clamato, as well as watching his reaction to drinking one.

IMO only the orginal Blue Moon is any good, all their seasonal ales and pale ales are gross.

It is an unfiltered and it had a lot of flavor. I really liked it.

It's a brewing company from Burlington, VT. There might be a road trip in my future lol
 
Lagunitas has some of my favorite beer, Their summer time lil' sumpin is the BEST
not to mention the guy who owns the place is HUGE stoner who sells 6 packs for $4.20 on 4/20 everywhere.

I'm pretty sure I hate IPA. ive not tried very many though. just one. but I think I might like dark beer.
 
Which IPA's have you tried? IPA's are very hoppy (bitter tasting) so there are quite a few people who don't like them. I believe they are an acquired taste. I still have not acquired that taste myself though. I haven't tried a wide range of IPA's. I don't mind the Berskshire Brewing Company's IPA (the same is escaping me right now) and I do like Harpoon's IPA as well.

I actually just tried some of this a couple weeks ago for the first time, wasn't bad. I did drink wayyy too much that night though and ended up getting pretty sloppy so who knows it could've been totally different than I remember.



And I agree with you guys, IPAs are an acquired taste. I personally love them but they're not for everyone
 
IPA season is upon us yet again!

I have begun stocking the fridge with various IPA and DIPA. This doesn't include the fact that a few of my regular spots are now getting some fresh/quality IPAs on tap.

Currently in the selection:

Double Trouble - Founders
Ruination - Stone
A few local bottled IPAs

Prior to slowly moving in to IPAs I was on a huge brown and scottish ale kick. Lighter than a stout/porter but not as hoppy as a good summer IPA.

What will I be drinking this evening? This has yet to be decided. I am considering wandering down to my local watering hole and seeing what has made its way on to the beer list over the past week.
