I just took 5 (orally) on an almost empty stomach. Wish me luck. I have 6 left now. I'll save the other 5 for a rainy day and save the last 1 for a souvenir (if I can).

It was great. I still have 6 left. The only thing I can say that made it different than the OP's is that it didn't make me nauseous or as itchy, but it seemed to last a bit longer. I think it may have lost most its histamine release over nearly 2 decades.

I did plug 1. It wasn't as effective as swallowing 5 of them, in my opinion. So I guess unless I score some H, I'll just stick with the oral route when it comes to pain pills.

I have one of the 80 mg OxyContin from 2008. I am saving it as a relic, or at least until I stop Kratom. I can’t get myself to do anything with it. I also have some 5 mg oxycodone from back then too, about 20 of them. They do not go bad, I don’t even believe they lose any potency. Someone would have to explain to me what oxycodone would break down into if that were the case.

Kudos for hanging on to that. Damn. What a treasure! Knowing me, I'd probably blow through all the 5mg oxy in 1 day and just save the single OC 80 as a keepsake.
