Nope. Winning the championship (more than once preferably) is just one of the things Lebron has to do to reach Kobe status.

I think Lebron taking that shitbox Cavs team to the finals is about as impressive as Iverson taking his Sixers squad of journeymen to the finals (I forget the year). Unfortunately, I think King James may have similar results to AI.
 
yeah... but the rest of the Cavs have really stepped up. who is Gibson? hell, I did not know who the second round draft pic was before a couple games ago, when he outscored LeBron. Iglauskus, maybe one of the best centers in the league (hahaha, count how many true centers there are before flaming) scored the most points in the first DET game. Pavlovich obviously got in the weight room because last year he was a fucking pansy.

I'm not saying the Cavs have the best team but you gotta give them a little credit, sans Bron Bron.
 
^yeah Lebron's wild bunch just seems to step it up when they need to...I'd say this run would've been more impressive than Iverson's '00-'01 run had they not been given a free pass in the 1st round against the Wizards. Plus the Sixers' road to the Finals was a bit tougher imo. It was something just for them to steal a win against that dominant Lakers squad...which I doubt this Cavs team would be able to do if put in the situation. Shaq would just roll right over them with Kobe handling Lebron.

Lebron seems to have a better work ethic and drive to win. Kobe just comes off as a selfish ass. I'd take Kevin Garnett or Tim Duncan on my team over both of these guys.

Anyone who thinks that Tim Duncan is more valuable than Kobe Bryant should be banned from taking about basketball.

He's barely the most valuable player on his team.
 
Kobe scored 52 points today compared to Lebron's piddly 37. Discussion settled.

If you were watching that awesome game this afternoon, you would see why Kobe is better than Lebron. He just is. It's an immutable law of nature.

Considering what a nice day it was today and what an awesome game it was, I wish I had come over; it may have been the most perfect day in the history of Mankind. We'll have to get together soon for some basketball watching, even if it's the Warriors. I love Nelly Ball.
 
Kobe did play his ass off but in LeBron's defense his game did not go into Overtime.

plus, compare their bodies. LeBron james is clearly the more good-looking physical specimen. I bet he never had to resort to getting underage chicks on the down low. Kobe's arms and legs remind me of when I look through the window into my local all girls high school swim team practice.

while Bron Bron could probably start as a wide receiver for the NFL while simultaneously getting three LA models pregnant.
 
that can be something we all agree on.

the Lakers will be fun to watch in the playoffs this year, with the West being as stacked as ever. I am just glad with the revival of Orlando and Boston that the East has something more to offer come Finals time.

I hope you don't say that just beacuse Duncan doesn't have fluffed up offensive stats. Duncan is a leader, Kobe is not.
 
Duncan is perhaps the most boring NBA player to watch. in today's world of professional basketball where bling-bling and shooting rap videos take precedence, that is unallowed.

I would take Bron Bron or Kobe over him any day. plus, he is getting old.

Do you even WATCH basketball?

Do you see the fire in Kobe's eyes during the final moments of close games, just LUSTING over taking the game-winning shot?

And do you see Duncan REGULARLY bewildered at his own missed free throws and complaining like a little bitch at every foul call that doesn't go his way, which, in turn affects the confidence of his teammates?

What do you think the odds are of Kobe Bryant ever winning the NBA championship and LOSING Finals MVP to someone of the caliber of Tony Parker (say, Pau Gasol)?

Duncan's got a very nice resume, but he is not nearly as much of a leader as any of the resy of this generation's best players (Bird, Magic, Isiah, MJ, Hakeem, Shaq, Kobe).
