Leaving for Iraq

I expunged my record because I was under 18 when I was convicted.

But even with things on your record you can get waivers for them. You just have to actually show them your serious about getting in.

best of luck, try to keep your head straight and don't get too bored!

ps - SA, please do not move this to the lounge...

Totally got some sweet news today... 8)

We're extending again, originally we were going for 7 months, then 9, and as of today we're over there until June 1, 2008.

Ya, I'm excited.:|

Well, he actually wants to do this.
I don't think we can completely empathize.

I refer to the prolonged deployment. Doing 7-9 months is one thing... but almost a year... boo urns.

^^^if thats team america reference - brilliance :) (smiley face)

if not and you're from a another country 8) (rolley eyes)

what if it were sarcastic, not a team america reference, but he was from the US? :)
It's obviously a team america reference (which I think is sarcastic too, but perhaps I give parker and stone too much credit).

thats fine

conversely however if he (or she) isn't from the US and making a sarcastic comment it is a weak attempt at an insult for whch he has no basis in a support thread

can I say that SA? [No]

good luck over there man. i think you are going to need it.\

in my opinion, and no disrespect intended, but you have to be one crazy ass motherfucker for knowing joining the forces with the obvious reason of being shipped off to iraq.

im just curious..........what do you actually hope to get out of it for yourself by going over there?

anyways, i respect having the balls to do that shit. i wish you all the best. make sure your ass comes back and doesnt leave your lady at home alone for some other dude to come scoop her up. shell be waiting for you man. make sure you come back.

that ain't nothing. my husbands guard unit was called up and in addition to the year long deployment, they had a 5 month retraining for a new MOS since their unit wasn't needed for what they were trained to do. my hubby didn't have to go thank god. a lot of units go over that long.

I don't see how the country of origin changes things.
I'm from the US.
I'll say it: "America, fuck yeah!" 8) (rolley eyes to the max.)
Is this somehow less or more personal? Less more more insulting?

Regardless, though, I wish the best for both Red Haze, his company, his targets, and the bystanders.

because there is no basis for understanding

for instance in a foreign country putting on cowboy boots and saying in a bad american accent "look at me im george bush im an american lets drop bombs and eat cheeseburgers" its funny to them but not to an american

foreigners with no concept of the reasons behind individuals volunteering for the war try to reduce and boil the argument to a simple quote from a movie we gave them

its like how black people should be the only ones that can say nigger

non-American denouncers of america usually use weak one liners that dont contribute to real dialog
