So ever since i started IV'ing oxy i realized that i would nod out way longer than i normally would off of dilaudid. However I decided to video tape myself close up just to see what mt eyes looked like. My left eye just rolls around in all directions..like it's lazy. In fact it looked quite scary. Just typing right now i have to close my left eye and squint with the right. however if i close my right one and try focusing with my left i can't fpcus AT A;;/// (wow see that was trying to focus with my left eye).

I'm scared this is going to be permanent and I also don't understand why it's only my left eye messed up. when i'm high both eyes have roubke focusing when i'm nodding out,,, but the left one is scary as shit. i've never had a lazy eye before. Also - when i feel like i shouldnt be high anymore (body isn't as relaxed, no euphoria, etc.) i still nod out really bad and can't keep my eyes open.

I also get random sharp and dull pains in my upper back, and just suddenly sharp pains on my left side of my chest (like - ON my side but where my chest is)

also sometimes when im doing sometjomg amd ots soo hard to keep my eyes open i close them and then in my head i continue doing whatever it was tjat o was doing. it's like i instantly go into a dream. For example i was playing sim city and was going to build a big zone of buildings, however i closed my eyes (without even really noticing) and in my head i did all the stuff i was going to do. then i open my eyes amd chake my head to regain focus but realize i haven't done anything yet,

AGAIN IT JUST HAPPENED I THOUGHT I POSTED THE THREAD. what is going on?? am i losing my mind? and what is up with my left eye going lazy and out of focus. can anyone please help me i am very scared. thank tou in advance.

yes and if youre pain gets really bad, id go to the hospital and tell em the truth

Don't diagnosis yourself. If you're having chest pain, "muscle spasms" whenever you're breathing and are losing your eye sight, go to the hospital and tell them the truth. Don't worry about getting in trouble with the cops, etc...it's all very private under doctor-patient confidentiality. A lot of nasty stuff can go on after shooting pills.

And I'm not here to judge, but it sounds like the needle isn't doing you too many favors. Maybe try another route? I know it's hard to go back from IV to say snorting the pills, but the health risks are not nearly as severe.

PM if you have any questions/concerns about the doctor/patient confidentiality or got any more health concerns; I hope you're doing well

Wow If I were you I'd be off to the hospital right now mate. I highly recommend this, go NOW!
The police will likely not be called, the worst that can happen is you spend some time finding out that you're OK.

Getting a "lazy eye" from opiates is somewhat common in high doses. That is one of the reasons I had avoided oxycontin for a while, because I had a friend that this would happen to pretty badly, and it was not very appealing to me.

The chest pains are not common though, so I suggest seeking medical attention asap.

If you are thinking about continuing IVing your drugs, I suggest you read the Case Studies thread so that you know of the potential dangers you are facing.

The inactive ingredients thread will give you an idea of what you are actually putting into your body other than the active drug itself. For the old formulation of OxyContin (OC marking in the US, and standard everywhere else) contains ammonio methacrylate copolymer, hypromellose, lactose, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol 400, povidone, sodium hydroxide, sorbic acid, stearyl alcohol, talc, titanium dioxide, triacetin, and a few others depending on the pill dosage (for example the 80mg pills also contain FD&C blue #2, hydroxypropyl cellulose, and yellow iron oxide).

Oxycodone has a very high oral bioavailability ( upwards of 87% ) so if you really wish to continue using it, I suggest switching to the oral ROA. IVing pills is not a fun road to go down. If you are really content on doing so, you really need to invest in micron filters. Given the information in some of your other posts though, you really need to stop altogether. I'm not going to lecture you, but instead give you helpful harm reduction information, since that is what the Other Drugs forum is about.

Lazy eye might just be a common problem, but the chest pain could easily be caused by fillers from all the pills accumulating in either your circulator or pulmonary systems. Go to the ER, the won't call the police or anything. Explain your symptoms, abuse patterns, and even what bran of what kind of Oxy you've been shooting to make sure this isn't a serious problem.

i feel fine now though =S

i was iv'ing upwards of 120mg a day so that could explain why i had the lazy eye. im still high right now, but not nodding out and the 'lazy eye' is gone now. Going to the ER is not an option unless i really feel like something is wrong. i am sick with bronchitis right now. another possible reason why my chest hurts?

and the chest pain has gone down significantly. i can take deep breaths fine now. perhaps the chest pain was unrelated.

^ Make sure that you remove the outer coating in the most sterile way possible. Do not let your saliva come in contact with it. Someone recently had a problem from doing that. They had strep throat and it got into their blood stream that way. I suggest using an alcohol pad, or pouring alcohol on a paper towel, and using that to remove the coating. It works great with Opana, an I imagine it would work just fine for the original formula OxyContin.

Your chest pains may have lessened due to the 120mg of oxycodone that you IV'd. I'm not going to speculate any other reasons for your chest pains since I am not a doctor, but please take the proper precautions if you are going to continue IV (or any other) drug use.

Dude you need to go see a Dr. I'm not going to lecture you either on the dangers of IV'ing these nasty ass fillers in these pills, but even with Bronchitis, this doesn't sound right. They WILL NOT call the police on you, and if you wish to remain it as confidential as possible so your family is not aware, then go to a hospital outside of your town/city. I hope you don't learn to regret not going.

Yeah go see a Dr. only person who can even begin to help if at all really sounds fubar tbh.

Man, chest pain is serious. I remember days when I would be at the Emergency Department for clinic, and people would come in thinking they're having heart attacks but it was really just bad heartburn. Moral of the story is chest pain is serious, doctors expect to see patients come in all the time for even minor chest pain, even if the pain could theoretically be fixed with a packet of Tums :/ Like someone above me said, worst thing that happens is they give you a clean bill of health.

i've only been IV'ing pills for a couple months, i know people (specifically one) who has been shooting pills for 2 years and he isn't even safe about anything. He doesn't sterilise the spoon, use filtered water, etc.. he once told me that since his work had a shitty bathroom and no tap just a toilet, he used toilet water to shoot up. but "don't worry, I flushed first" he said. I always put the needle in the center of the qtip at an angle so it goes in smoothly without dulling the needle and is in the most dense part of the cotton to filter out all the fillers. And like I said, when i breathe in i can feel my muscle spasming, therefore how could it be my lung?

and when i cough it doesn't hurt either. only when i breathe in.

...but don't worry, I flushed first...

Lmao that has got to be one of the funniest, and scariest things, that I have read in a while... 8o

Like Tommy Boy said, I am not a doctor so you should not take my insight as a diagnosis but I THINK I know what is troubling you.

The good news is I don't think it has anything to do with your heart. If the pain only comes when you breath in, it is likely it has to do with either your lungs or what I am about to address. I used to have pretty bad anxiety, and took a few trips to the ER with "chest pains" myself. I had the same symptoms as you, taking a deep breath followed by chest pain. Often times this is just due to a sore muscle that you are straining when you constrict/expand your diaphragm.

Another common reason is something called Precordial Catch Syndrome (PCS). http://www.failedsuccess.com/index.php?/weblog/comments/precordial_catch_syndrome_chest_pain/

One of the tell tale signs is increased heart rate accompanied by increased chest pain. Try doing some jumping jacks or something, if your chest pain worsens then I would get to a doctor ASAP (Of course, when you exercise, you take deeper and more frequent breaths). Also, if the pain in your chest doesn't go away soon I would go see a doctor.

The only reason I am reluctant to say "go to the ER immediately" is because I have been in your situation before. I have spent thousands of dollars chasing symptoms of absolutely nothing. What happens is you go in, tell them you have chest pain, they will (especially at an emergency room) say "we need to do an EKG and run some more tests" for liability issues, not to mention the fat fucking bill they get to present to you a month after leaving.

But then how come it's always and only my left one? I notice my left eye is always less open when i'm gaming or reading or anything that requires focusing. sometimes it closes and i don't even notice it. it's fucked. Makes me not even want to get high off of oxy, but them im just withdrawaling. like im looking at the keyboard (and o dont have to uisually wjem o type biy yjos os wjat ,y ty[omg ;ppls ;ole wke, o, mpt [ressomg bacls[ace a hunfred tmes

WOW AND I WAS LOOKING AT THE KEYBOARD WITH MY LEFT EYE OPEN. what i tried to say is ^that^ is what happens when i don't keep hiting bacls[ace pver and over.
