Weird Science:

It's been ages since I unleashed this beast. And though it certainly has it's annoying points, it still stands up as a classic after all these years. Plus I forgot about the..."Don't threaten me Al, you're out of shape, I'll kick your arse"...scene.

on a whim..I popped this in the DVD player last night (found it lying around the house). I didnt expect to cry at all but I did :p

Hehe all in all it was a good movie with solid acting...but RAGING BULL STILL SHOULD'VE WON THE BEST PICTURE OSCAR FOR 1980!:! Thats all=D

Ordinary People is an excellent film. Raging Bull is great too, I don't think I could make the distinction of which one is better as they're both masterworks for different reasons. Obviously Raging Bull has aged better within the realms of public consciousness.

I just watched Scanners by Cronenberg last night. Everytime I watch one of his movies I'm blown away, always seems to impress more than the last one I watched.

maneater, it's a movie about a tiger that kills a bunch of people. terrible production, plus gary busey is in it haha

The Pianist. the 2nd time.

the music in the scene where he finds the woman playin cello made me cry.
very powerful sound all over.

For the 2nd time, on dvd. =D One of my faves.....Geoffrey Rush is hilariously wickedly awesome in this one.

Beloved reader, I leave you now with a tale penned by the Abbe du Coulmier, a man who found freedom, in the most unlikeliest of places: at the bottom of an inkwell, on the tip of a quill. However, be forewarned, it's plot is blood-soaked, it's characters depraved, and it's themes... unwholesome at best. But in order to know virtue, we must acquaint ourselves with vice. Only then can we know the full measure of man. So come... I Dare you... Turn the page...

i really enjoyed it. on the other hand, my boyfriend started shouting about how horrible the movie was as we walked out of the theater.

I watched Dazed And Confused:

I've seen it tonnes of times but it never seems to lose any appeal for me. My favourite has always been, Darla, the Parker Posey character.
that movie is probably in my top 5 all times for number of times watched. i'm not so keen on the parker posey character but this movie is surely matthew mcconaughey's finest hour? :)

horton hears a who.

i love seuss, although was disappointed to find once more that jim carrey played/voiced the main character; he depicted the grinch wonderfully, but thought this role was out of his league.

I watched Addams Family Values on TV yet again. I don't know exactly how many times I've seen it, but it's always a bit of a laugh. I do love a good pointless film from time to time.

Then, Catch Me If You Can.

It was the first time I'd seen that one and I really enjoyed it. It's not even a film I was particularly keen on seeing, but as it was on TV anyway I thought I'd give it a watch. Very good
