KY, Louisville - 12.10.04 Friday - Grand Reopening Of The Axis *REVIEW*

Yeah, especially modern hard house is tracked a lot closer to trance then it is too house, but it shares it's percussion and rhythm wiht house and techno. A little more organic, drums sound real, not synthesized and and filtered, as much.

New hard house is swinging wide into the techno category though. With producers like ANT and McAffer doing remixes a plenty.

Older-style hard house has the clubbier vibe, and defiantely trancier rhythm and percussion. And the god-awful bouncey bass line. Some of it at least, the more visionary people kept the bass with the kick.

true, i've got alot of hard house tracks that sound more along the lines of techno then house, then others that are more repeated sound with a trance like filtered bassline and melody. so many styles not enough names such as

Hard Dark Progressive WTF hey this is kinda strange sounding breaks :D

It's good to see that you all have gotten such positive comments. Chuck and I thought about coming out the other night because we didn't have anything else to do, but we figured we would wait to come say hey in the weeks to come after things have broken in.

I think u should post those rules ALL over the building. They'll be needed.

thanks for you input

Over in England, Hard Trance, House, Techno and NRg are all lumped under the title Hard Dance, which I believe is a good term, because they all share so many common aspects that you rarely see a DJ stick to just one style, sets flow through the genre so much that DJs are hard to categorize.

So you kinda get stuck, cause if you use hard dance no one knows what you're talking about, Hard house and they think of Old school bounce, and the others don't quite explain everything. Tough genre to be in.

Does ne body in louiville like hardcore/gabber, and wanna hear it at the axis? There must be some hardcore heads in louisville.

actually i have listen to many types of music but not trancecore. definately needa keep my eye i mean my ear out for it. i might have actually heard it but just never recognized it. i am a minor hardcore fan. i don't listen to it all the time but i definately have my appreciation for it.
